by Dr C.ANIRVINNA on Jul 19, 2004 01:26 PM

Sachin Sucks
by Palbox on Jul 19, 2004 01:18 PM

Sachin should probably retire, he has scored just 16 against the minnows UAE and 11 against Srilanka. He has lost his form. He is no more a match winner. In short Sachin Sucks and Dravid Rules

sachin should retire
by sreedhar B on Jul 19, 2004 11:05 AM

It is high time Sachin retired from active cricket. It seems he is fast losing interest in the game, as he earns lots of money by doing commercials. It has been a very long time since he has really played a good knock. I think age is fast catching up on him. He should leave when he is still at the top and leave gracefully.

The top order failure should not be taken with a pinch of salt. T'kar hits one marvelous stroke in the mid wicket and the next one is lobbed to covers. S'ag and G'li also threw their wicket.
Mr. D(pendable)ravid should not be stretched till be crumbles. Let T'kar & S'wag be known that they are also despensable.

What a Shame!

Its really painfull to accept the defeat .why the hell these guys r boasting bout indian cricket team as "the best team".And if that is so then i m sure no one ,in "THE BEST TEAM" had ever played a innings of runs in 36 balls. Why the hell some players r still there although they r now out of form.is that this that in the past they played well.IS selection is not possible on the basis of current form???

India vs. Sri Lanka (Asia Cup)
by Chiradeep Majumdar on Jul 19, 2004 09:19 AM

The defeat of India at the hands of Sri Lanka points out the inherent weaknesses of the Indian side. Though touted as the second best one day side, the team lacks players of character. This was borne out by the fact that all the bowlers except Irfan Pathan failed to perform in the match. It is because of their mediocrity. There is no genuine fast/fast medium bowler in India who can penetrate into an opposition's batting lineup. Irfan Pathan of course is an exception. We all have heard the saying ... Morning shows the day. Pathan is an example that proves the saying. The kind of maturity and character that he has shown at such an early age makes you believe that he might one day overhaul the achievements of the great Wasim Akram. In the match against Sri Lanka, when all other bowlers were struggling, Pathan showed maturity and character and emerged with the best bowling figures for his side. What's more, he just conceeded 3 runs in his final over. Other bowlers should emulate him. In batting, it seems Ganguly is determined not to learn how to hook or pull the ball, despite being dismissed by short rising deliveries on countless occasions.
