Let sachin paly his natural game
by Aditya on Jul 19, 2004 11:37 AM

It is ridiculous to ask Sachin to retire
at this moment. After carrying burden of
whole team more than a decade it is time
time that he should play his natural game
without any pressure.India has now quality
batsman to follow him.He is the best batsman
in the world.

UNCROWNED CAPTAIN OF INDIAN CRICKET TEAM
by A.Sahayaraj on Jul 18, 2004 04:20 PM

Though he is the best batsman and a well charactered man,he is not the captain of Indian cricket team but most respected and revered cricketere of the cricket world. He is the uncrowned captain of the Indian cricket team.Even if he doesn't score runs, his presence in the team does a lot to lift the sprit of other players. Most of the Indians like to watch Sachin batting for generations.Though it is not possible,it is also not equally possible not to see him playing for India for the next ten years.
Play long, bat long and live long Sachin.

sachin is still great
by URKJ on Jul 17, 2004 09:48 PM

It ia really foolish to talk about sachin's
retirement at this point of time. Now he is maturing into a seasoned campaigner we should not spoil his dreams there by spoiling the team's interest also
sachin should be allowed to play atleast for five more years.

My suggestion is that nowadays he is not in his Killer instinct he use to play safe and sound but this is not that Sachin which he was we had seen, now Sehwag is the best.

RE:Retirement of Sachin

Due to the recent success of Indian team abraod, especially in Pakistan, Many people are getting an understanding that Indian team can perform without Sachin. Eventhough we nowadays have good players like Dravid, Sehwag, (ocassionally Laxman) and very rare Ganguly, I still feel that Sachin is lot better than them. I don't think that anybody in the current cricket world has as many variety of strokes. Neither does anybody has that talent to adapt to the situation( exception being Dravid). Also Sachin should have 50 Centuries in Test and 50 centuries in one-day(This is the least we should expect from the Little Master) before he retires. I don't think we will be able to see any other player in our life who makes that many centuries.

There is still lot to see from Sachin.
Please be Patient and enjoy his Batting( This is for the media, especially the TV media).

slashing sachin.
by hansy on Jul 16, 2004 08:42 AM

i dont think sachin will hang is boot as of now..but i think the correct age for sachin to retire is 37 yrs.cause by then his game will be a little slow and his reflexes weak..i think his game has changed largly as of now itself.he has become more careful and selective and the slashing saching we all knew and just loved to watch has taken a more watchful approach to the game which is good in the sence that there is consistency to be seen but the thrill and exitement of a sachin innings has decreased to an extend.even in test matches he used to score at a fast pase and it was thrlling but now there has been a touch watchfulness about his game.so it will only increase with age i think and so he should retire by say 36 or max 37..
but as long as sachin stays there will be many more virus and dravids in the game.cause he is such an inspirationl icon that he rubs of his attitude on all his team mates and thats what counts at the end of the day!!
BEST OF LUCK SACHIN!BEST OF LUCK INDIA!
