To believe or not to believe..!?

Nice to see this article. Very spontaneously and naturally quoted for most part.
Unfortunately, Sachin isn't as spontaneous or natural anymore. I have always known Sachin to be principled. His game has certainly changed after the World Cup and not naturally.
He seems to be deliberately sacrificing hi instinct and seems to be proving something for the first time. He always did things without caring about others' opinion and that produced great viewing for us.
I wish that this is a small sacrifice from us to let him make his big move to "maturity". If he says he's already there... it wasn't worth the change.
I am still much grateful for the way he has played uptil and in the last World Cup.
Luckily, you cannot change the past brilliance, but a lousy present can be worth enduring in hoping for a glorious future!
Thank you Sachin for the past and the future I hope for.
Amen! Mr. Sunil Gavaskar!

patience is virtue.

It is natural to understand the disappointment of the crazy worshippers of tendilya. But did anyone notice that this was his first score above 50 after some 7-8 finals?
its the calm before the storm
remember the world cup?Has such a thing ever been done before?
media listening?

Where is the real Sachin?

Its true that Sachin is not playing as before. But I feel a few things are left unnoticed.

1. Even though Sachin is not at his best he has taken 12 wickets, II higest in team India scored enough runs to be in the race to get man of the tournament.
2. None of the batsman could rotate the strike by taking the single. Its not only this time but always observed once he takes a single other player stick to the bat without taking run for remaining over. Ultimate result - He looses rhytm and flow in his run scoring ability.

I think all the players should think about the fact that if he is unable to score he should steel quick single by tapping ball and give strike to SRT instead of sticking to the creeze. None of the critics think about all such aspects in his failure as this is a team game.

"But experts now feel that his magic, which was not only about how many runs he scored but how he scored them, is waning."
Which expert are you referring to Sir? The only one you have referred (the indomitable Sunil Gavaskar) actually suggests something totally opposite to what you have stated.
I hope it was not a cheap way to get hits on your article...

Where is real Sachin !!

I feel that nowadays Mr. Sachin ways of playing cricket has changed a lot because earlier he used to score a lot of runs at a brisk pace but now it is totally changed & eventhough he scores runs at present too now & then but it is at a slower rate & not too many risky shots maybe that is due to the maturity & also he is getting old. One more negative factor from this cricket hero is that he most of the times he never wins the matches for our country in a critical time & also slows down whenever he reaches 90's so that he can complete his century.

Why blame it on Sachin. There are so many just hanging out in the side failing at the rate of all most 80 % in matches after world cup. 1)Kaiff 2) Sehwag 3) Ganguly him self, he played well against Kenya or Bangladesh or some of the teams of that level in the world cup. It is only Sachin, Dravid & Yuvraj who are sailing the boat. Players like Dean jones, Shan warne, Hyden, Mark Waugh were given breaks, if they did not performe even for 5-6 matches, What is needed is change, more options, but if u talk about Sachin or Dravid, they are in the category of Steve Waugh, Kapil Dev, Javed Miadad, Wasim Akram, Allen Border Who has to be in the team, their consistency can never be doubted.
