I do agree with you that Individuals do not win team games and without any doubt on my mind, i also agree that u are just next to Brian lara in the contemporary cricket.
But why have u been so silent all these days and not saying these words, when the whole world celebrated u as the one and only saviour of the whole indian team, while 10 0thers along with you fighted for bringing laurels to the country.
I can only pity dravid, ganguly, srinath & kumble, who never got their credit just because representing india in the era same as that of u.

It was not him collecting laurels...It was media and fans giving only him the credits...and somehow they were justified...'coz then india never played like a team... now the situation has changed...everyone is milking every opportunity he gets...each member knows wot job is expected out of him...so they r playing like a team now...n therefore every member is getting his due credit...

Mr. Riaz, i wud like to correct u..tht sachin has never said tht hez the best player..nor did he ever mention tht hez next to brian lara in contemporary cricket..U r just trying to say that brian lara is best through ur article.. well lara's recent record-breaking 400 has certainly revived this debate..WHOZ THE BEST?..as it did 10 yrs. ago when he scored 375...n i'm sure sachin will again come out of his shell n show the world tht hez simply the 'BEST' as he did after lara's 375, scoring consistently in both forms of game.. And Mr. Riaz, if u think that scoring triple centuries is a must to become a premier batsman..i must remind u..tht sir Vivian Richard's highest score was 291..our own great batsman Gavaskar cud record only 252 as his highest score...where as sehwaag has reached 309..so, if we follow ur logic..Mr. sehwaag is a better batsman than those 2 greatest player the game has ever seen..i can just pity on ur understanding of cricket. Last but not the least, my msg to all the fans of sachin. He is not out of form...hez just rediscovering himself as a batsman...hez recharging his batteries for the final onslaught..its just the 'SILENCE BEFORE THE THUNDERSTORM'!
Dear Sachin, Many happy returns of the day! I am from Girgaum, Mumbai & share my marriage aniversary with u, infact I got married on the same date as of u, 25th May, 1995. Dravids Declaration
by Padmanabhan on Apr 30, 2004 09:59 PM
Dravids Declaration Long after the event is over,the series has been won. the team has come back, but the media wants some sensation.Why the declaration issue is raked again &again? Would you rake itup again & again if the person involved was anyother than Sachin.? No doubt Sachin is a Great player.It was also neither his 1st double hunred that he lost.Great as he is he shoud convert any of his next 5 innings to double or triple hundred.There is alot of gap between great performances & being called great.We should feel elated over the wins more & should not behave like Windies.They were beaten sound & square by England. Lara postponed declaration to avoid defeat in the final test& in the process made a world record. the windies have forgotten the humiliating defeats,but are elated with Laras record.Our adulation of Sachin should not move on this line.For me a 100 by Sachin gives the same pleasure as any by Dravid/Sewag/Laxman/Saurav or Yavraj.Padmanabhan
Sachin u r my favourite player. Sometimes my friends say to me that sachin play only for own record not for team because he do not perform in final matches. so i want u must also perform in final.
i am studying in UK. its my curse that i coudnt see pakistan series. especially sachin`s inning. worst part is history is not going to repeat....hard luck for me.......

worst time never come back -what do u mean ? write thing which are readable&undestandable;
This is in response to the interview of Mr. Sachin Tendulkar.
First of all I would like to thank you 4 the lovely interview with our little master. He is a genius & a very great human being. I remember one saying it says Its nice to be important but its more important to be nice.
I fully agree that 1998 was the best year in Sachins life & career as well. He single handedly won the Sharjah Cup for us by scoring 2 centuries against the Australians. May God bless him always. When he was a captain no one was performing well otherwise see the records, its not only captain to be blamed but the whole team for the failure. Captaincy was given to him at a very difficult period. He gave his 100% when he was & is playing under different captains but it was not so when he was the one. I am a great fan of Sachin & if anyone says anything against him I get really angry. He did lots to our country & cricket in particular. But, still some people have doubts, everytime you cant expect a person to score a century. I think he is the well disciplined cricketer in the world & a wonderful teammate. I only hope that he continues playing well for the country 4 many years. I wish him A VERY HAPPY 31st BIRTHDAY on the 24th of April.
Thanks once again, hoping to have more writeups from u.
This is Teresa Furtado From Goa. Cheers SACHIN. LONG LIVE SACHIN!
