Shame on Tendulkar
by Satya on Apr 15, 2004 12:21 PM

A young boy called Parthiv Patel has shown our so called "master-blaster" Tendulkar what committment and commonsense can do. Its time BCCI reviews Tendulkar's recent performances and awards him an few sit-outs. We have been doing well without him scoring, so we can do well without him being there in the team. May be the sheer embarrassment of being Sachin and made to push a drinks cart to the field will bring some sense back into his head.

This team is for performers.

Laxman was Run Out by Akthar
by s. Srivatsan on Apr 15, 2004 10:50 AM

Laxman was Standared after seeing the delivery from akthar uprouting the stemps, really laxman cannot belive the ball that was been bowled. Actually it was a Full fleged throw from akthar that hit laxman's stumps

I was suprised that why akthar having that 100 meters run up, he can just stay near the stumps and and make the chucking.

If ICC belives that Akthar does not chucking the ball then i don't know what was really Chucking is.

strategy for day3
by manish on Apr 15, 2004 08:30 AM

i beleive that india should bat for as long at possible score at least 650 as they can do this with lot of batting still left. the idea is to ensure that pakistan dont get a pitch which is good to bat on . the pitch will certainly have an uneven bounce in the last two days so india should look to bat at till 1 hour after tea .

Rahul Krishna
Hail Rahul Dravid
by Rahul Krishna on Apr 14, 2004 11:11 PM

Dravid has shown once again what 'commitment' means .He has shown the resolve and character to guide his team out of trouble. How many times has he done this!!At Headingley,Calcutta,Adelaide and now at Rawalpidi. It's indeed a sad state of affairs that some of those 'geniuses' of cricket are given over importance in this country when these men ,who are far from being genius but make it up with their dedication towards the country. They perform when their country needs them and makes sure that their team has reached the shore safe.In the whole picture ,isn't this character that counts??So gentlemen, please stand up and applaud these innings of rare grit than brooding over someone's missed personal milestones that means nothing to TEAM INDIA

Share some nice moments on a GOOD DAY !
by BS on Apr 14, 2004 10:57 PM

I donno why you guys are always against the little chap "Partiv".

The below from your article,
"...But the Indians should not make the mistake of drafting him as a regular opener. One swallow does not make a spring. In much the same manner one good knock does not make him an opener...", really surprised me.

Partiv has made a good contribution and despite of Shewag & sachin's failure India were in good condition only because of this part time batsman. Imaging how it would have looked if partiv failed to score and the score might be 15/3 ???

He is only at his beginning stage of his career and who knows one day he might become someone like "Gilchrist". Why dont u guys respect a Wicket Keeping Batsman???

This is not the first time I am reading a negative approach to Partiv's efforts (its evident even in ur slide shows).

So you better leave the chap alone and see how he helps the team. After all he is one among the 11 chosen from 1000's of players. That is enough to show his capability.

Specialist Opener Chopra
by amarnath on Apr 14, 2004 10:05 PM

Chopra and Bangar both proved they can be good openers. Parthiv did well today. The team combination is okay and We should think of accommodating players in rotation basis as done by Australians.
