Have read ppls view on this issue & so is Irani Trophy Match over. Some say Tendulkar is nt fit for captain, is biased etc... Its sad we dont trust ppl who have given there 15yrs or more to Indian cricket with devotion & sincerity and who's thinking ability we all have prasied time & again. Vinod Kamli in cricket one of the great names, scoring double hundreds back to back against England & two more centuries against Sri Lanka immd. after those double hundreds. Played really well for India, his average speaks that. His passion & devotion to game is evident & never say die attitude visible from his effort to make come back at all odds. as few ppl say Sachin shld treat his friendship diffrently & cricket difftly then may I remind you Kamli was dropped in 1996 on ground other then cricket, his game was not bad he did not perform badly but wasnt it politics? Well what ppl have to think they will cant change there mindset, but wud add, sometimes in life those ppl perform/ make comebacks & go down in history as Legends, who others thought wud not even worth a single look forget bout second chance.ALL THE BEST VINOD KAMLI,its upto u,its ur life not much time left for cricket so prove.
hai sachin, why you are always happy on axing the predecessor captain whether it is the national team or the mumbai team, change your attitude, you can have friendship with kambli inside your home not in the ground...
Vinod Kambli certainly deserves his rightful place in the Mumbai side if not in the Indian team. It has nothing to do with Amol's dropping from the Bombay team. Perhaps the selectors did so as Amol did not do well in the last season.
Coming to Vinod Kambli, he is such a great batsman who deserve one last chance to prove himself . We need such players for the tour of Australia . I mean players with guts and experience. If he can stake clain with a good performance in the Irani Trophy that will be good for Indian Cricket.
Regarding Sachin's captaincy, he certainly has it in him to be a great captain but unfortunately the Azaruddin factor (when Sachin was captain) did not help him to concentrate or settledown to be a good India captain. We all know how some players did not co-operate with Sachin when he was captain especially during the West Indies Tour( losing the Barbodos test is an example of it from a winning position ) . Now that Azhar is totally out, Sachin definitely deserves to be given another chance as India captain should a vacancy arise.
i think vinod kambli is the right replacement since he needs the chance to prove his vital perfomance. i disagree to the fact that sachin ropes in kambli because mumbai cricket board is not such foolish to accept every suggestion of sachin. kambli has improved his game in sout africa. lets hope for the best.
Vinod Kambli deserves the place in Mumbai team. During his career he was the only player whom selectors used to drop to give place to somebody. Now it is his turn to get place. He worked hard in South Africa to get back his form.
He should comeback to indian team and deliver results like what Robin Singh did for country after come back at 31 age.
Being a captain of the team at times one has to take bold decisions.It may work or it might not.Since sachin and kambli has played together, he knows Kambli's strength.
It's a good decision and in his next match with rest of India he can use all the weapons as in when it's required.
Sairaj Bahutule deserves most to lead mumbai as he has been with the side since last so many years. He knows the pros and cons of mumbai players better than sachin. He had lot of years in first class cricket and capable of providing study and continious lead like we had by paras and sameer dighe.
