Sachin not fit for captaincy.....
by Murali on Sep 02, 2003 06:16 PM  | Hide replies

Sachin is now feeling that he can do whatever he wants. This is a great shame for the game and the country. By bringing in Kambli(who has not selected for the team for a long time and is now in the team as soon as Sachin has taken captaincy)his close-pal he has cheated the game, and not paying the duty he has cheated the country. A very Good example ...

I read with interest an article wher Mr. Murli has his views about Sachin is not being fit for captaincy. Well. I have views on sachin not paying his duties, but it should not be linked with the man's ability as a cricketer & as a captain. About Kambli, Mr. Murli should know that Kambli has done very well at South Africa recenly & deserves to be in the team. The selectors are not fools & they choose Sachin as captain after not finding any one else suitable for the post. I sincerely hope that such stupid messages should not be promoted by rediff.com, where people without any knowledge about cricket think them as experts & post there comments. We all know that Saurav is the best captain for India at the present moment & Dravid is the captain in waiting. But, let Sachin the chance to lead his domestic side, where young stars will learn from him & he can groom some of them to be the future captain.

Yes, it's too much of a coincidence that every time Sachin comes back into the Mumbai team or the national team, Vinod Kambli's name appears in the team!!
Is this just a coincidence?? I am sure Amol Muzumdar will not call this a coincidence!!

Amol should have been given a chance
by streettalker on Sep 02, 2003 05:38 PM

Amol certainly deserved a chance over kambli because it is virtually impossible for kambli to come to the national side now. whereas with tests against kiwis and aussies due, amol would have stood a chance.

Well after the Ups & Downs in his career the God of Cricket, the man who is passionate and hungry for runs, who lives only for cricket, is back in the Mumbai team for aiming new heights. This man is none other than the great VINOD KAMBLI- you can call him the ZULU of India. He shall take this challenge in a positive way and rule the cricket history.

All the best KAMBLI...

Always been your DIE HEART FAN..

Regards,
Anthony

inclusion

Vinod kambli's inclusion is just a biased decision as he is a good friend of Sachin Tendulkar , otherwise there is aboslute no reason for dropping a young man like Amol mazumdar.

Bennet

This is nepotism

Vinod Kambli's inclusion into the current mumbai cricket team, with Tendulkar as captain is bound to raise few eye brows. It seems that Tendulkar's faith in his old chum has not diminished. Even the Mumbai cricket board is swayed by Kambli's recent performance ( strangely I dont recall him playing in any recent "Cricket tournements" in India). This only adds to the adage "It is good to know people in high places".
I have nothing against Vinod Kambli. He is a very good player. But I consider him as "A Big promise, and a failed delivery". The question will always remains, Can he perform on the big stage? Does he have, what it takes to be a diehard performer?
Only time will tell!!!. He deserves his chance to prove his mettle. Mr.Kambli, you asked for it, so here is the chance you great man, prove critics like me wrong. Shuan Polluck has done it, Can you do it?
