Following the first test tame draw and the complete dominace so far in the test has already resulted in NZ dream come true.Firstly they are not going to loose the series, secondly managing the series as a draw which is always on the cards. The dream of winning the series still open to them and for that to happen I think a lot depend on the third days play. Firstly the decl which in my opinion Fleming will do after getting maybe another 100 in 20overs therby allowing 250overs to get 20wickets.As far as NZ trump card in the bowling will be definitely Butler,if he can make any early inroads in the Indian batting line up I am sure Vet&Paul can do the rest on the fourth and fifth day of the match having said that a lot depends on whether the kiwis can force follow on.As I said in my previous column Flemings move of Styris has got a lot to do with Styris playing fast bowlers comfortably in the early part of the innings compared to spinners rather than right and left hand combination which actually turned out to be fact.On the second day morning Dravid allowed Styris to set his eye by bowling the two fast bowlers in tandem which actually resulted in NZ getting into a position of strength.
Wish Ashish Mangotra went and bought himself some brains. How does Ganguly's captaincy, which was the sole reason behind us not winning the first test, become the main reason why we are struggling here in the second ? We expect better columns from writers.
Ashish R u in right frame of mind?India had made more runs than the Kiwis did here on the first day and u still say that India would be lucky to escape with a draw.Think before expressing your opinion.
Although it is too early to comment on Dravid's captaincy, but surely he has shown enough potential to give Sachin Tendulkar and Dilip Vengasarkar a run for their money -for the tag of 'India's worst ever captain'.
I can't imagine Indian think tank (Captain, selection board, coach, & manager) are so short sighted and immature. I don't think it was a good idea to go with 2 spinners and 3 non-regular spinners (Tendu, Sehwag & Yuvraj). I think they should have dropped Bhajji and taken Munaf Patel. Mind it, New Zealanders are big planners so if Agarkar was taken then they would have played with the same ease. Look at bowling figures of Balaji and you would be impressed because they didn't know about him and they knew a lot about Zaheer.
Another problem with Indians is that they boast too much. After taking 3 wickets in the first test, Zaheer was boasting that he was practising too much. Give me a break. At that level, everyone practices.
I can say with certainty that this test match will also be a draw.
