There is no doubt that selectors have been rather harsh on you. It is unthinkable that a man with a test batting average of 54 has played so few tests. But then your approach to the game has also been very casual and you have also not kept yourself fit and trim like Sachin, Rahul and Sourabh. Now that you are so determined, I am sure you will come back in the Indian side. All the best.
I am a die hard fan of yours. It is encouraging to note your new found determination. Try and try till you succeed. Take inspiration from your best friend Sachin. May God be with you.
Dear Vinod Ganpat Kambli, I think you are a great cricketer who never got his due. I have been a huge fan of yours for the longest time. There is no doubt about your talent. In many ways, your cricket is better than Sachin's. Sachin seems to be mentally more mature, however. You never see him show any emotions. You need to be able to do that to succeed. When you cried after the semifinal match against Sri Lanka in Calcutta in 1996, it was viewed as your weakness and you were unceremoniously sacked. You have always deserved a place in the Indian team. I suggest you stick to Test cricket for your comeback as that is where you will have enough time to exhibit your game. Good luck with your last hurrah. Now its now or never for you and you deserve to be hugely successful. Your true fan. AIC Indian
