Bradman lived in the same century as Kapil, so to me this is a joke. There are other international cricketers who would win this award ahead of Kapil. How about Sobers, Richards, Border..the list goes on.
These awards are trash and biassed. Wonder what did Sachin Contribute to the team's success during the yeat 2002. Year 2002 saw us loosing to the minnows like Zimbabwe, England and of course, New Zealand. It has been an abismal performance from him during the year 2002 and yet, he walks away with an award. I guess Rahul Dravid deserves this award for his contribution to the Team. He has been a very consistent performer especially outside India. I guess the organizers would through more of thought process before giving awards of these nature. I think the prime years of Sachin is over.
Murali is a chucker. If a person is blind, would you let him drive a car? If Murali is deformed naturally and can't bowl straight, why bowl atall? As for Kapil, he was involved in match fixing. I think the selection was unfair. Keep in mind Tendulkar is paid in one month more than what you could make in 10 yrs honestly - but look at India's record in cricket. Why such awards?
hi sir, it's nice to know that kapil, sachin, murli and bedi are honoured this time..... in teams australia has really dominated the whole year....our team has got talent but they have to perform consistantly......
Sachin Tendulkar, Muttiah Muralitharan and Kapil Dev Nikhanj - three playes who I feel deserve not only one Ceat award, but a lot more accolades and awards as they have played like kings, and showed the true spirit of the game. Never have we seen one of the above three players fight over bad decisions or play the sledging game with the opposition. So, I feel that if there are any awards for best behaviour, the first place for that award should go to the above mentioned stars of the game. My best wishes to all three players to bring our country more accolades with their good performances. I extend a special 'all the best' to Murlitharan and Tendulkar for performing very well at the upcoming World Cup.
