Sachin Tendulkar, Muttiah Muralitharan and Kapil Dev Nikhanj - three playes who I feel deserve not only one Ceat award, but a lot more accolades and awards as they have played like kings, and showed the true spirit of the game. Never have we seen one of the above three players fight over bad decisions or play the sledging game with the opposition. So, I feel that if there are any awards for best behaviour, the first place for that award should go to the above mentioned stars of the game. My best wishes to all three players to bring our country more accolades with their good performances. I extend a special 'all the best' to Murlitharan and Tendulkar for performing very well at the upcoming World Cup.
Hope this award boost the secret of Sachin's performance & ultimately inhance the INDIAN Chances in world cup.
Because everybody knows that when Sachin Clicks INDIA will clinch the Trophy automatically, no one can even think to stop him from dominating in the every corner of the GAME.
One more think I would like to add that considering the conditions in SA we should bent on SACHINs, DRAVIDs... not on Sehwag, Ganguly...
So, let us hope the best from the Team Management to extract the Best form our Best - one & only SACHIN, batting at no. 1.
At the outset my sincere congratulations on sachin and murali receiving ceat awards. Being an avid fan of cricket I wish to state that sachin along with ganguly should open the indian innings. They both complement each other very well and have created records as an opening pair much before Sehwag came on to play. To break this parternership would mean losing the world cup.
It is a disgrace that Sacin Tendulkar gets an award for doing nothing last year. Sure he scored runs, but those runs hardly mattered. If you look at this record during NZ series, it is apalling at best. Why are we insisting on praising Sachin when he has amounted to nothing, zero. Perhaps Mr Dravid was a better choice or even the newcomer, Mr. Patel. Sachin should be sent packing and given a job of a bank teller to serve people or perhaps clean rest rooms at the Airport. Unless he proves himself by playing consistantly, under pressure or not.
RE:Award to Sachin for failing to contribute

You should be ashamed of urself for writing all this nonsense.. u r writing about a person who has brought laurels to our country.. During the times when he was at its best, u guys really praised him and now when he needs the support of all his countrymen, u deserted him.. what a shame... Other than last year (he scored 1300 runs), give me an example of any other time when Sachin has been scoring badly.. i am talking about a career that has been now almost 14 years.. i would like to see if any of the other indian players can maintain that consistency (i wish they would though)..GO TAKE A HIKE BABY...
I really did not like this article . It was a really really misleading article ... What R U guys doing ?? Bluffing people ??? Deceiving People ?? In the headlines, U mention the name of a superstar to attract people's attention and then in the news report , U do not even mention the name of this star , forget about the news on him....
Please do not do that in the future 'coz I am used to really good reports from you ..
I firmly believe that Sachin does not deserve this award and the judges have got carried away by his past performances. It is high time we stopped eulogising this cricketer and keep awarding him inspite of his lacklustre performances during the recent times. Awards do not mean anything for the littele man. Instead this award should have gone to either Mathew Hayden or Micheal Vaughan who have been consistently performing well in both forms of cricket.
I am really surprised that sachin is winning one or another award. but i have seen him winning matches for india. Sometimes i feel these awards are awarding to popular guys like sachin to get in publicity.
hope next time sachin gets an award for helping India WIN world cup.
