Hi,
This indian team is not a kiddie team to wimp & cry
on the sledging.

The Aussies will receive what they say in hindi
"EET KA JAWAB PATHAR" in sydney test and the 2004
test series.Next 4 matches in 2004 INDIA will rule.

If Hayden tuanted Dravid's resistance as "Where you have learnt your technique, mate! This is all what John Wright has taught you", "Where has Hayden learnt his technique(of sledging)! This is all what coach Buchachan has taught all the Aussies? It would be better had he taught how to bat(Pointing's 257 backed by LBWs not given)".

Decent Vs. Uncouth!!!
by Madhan Krishnaswamy on Jan 01, 2004 01:37 AM

Australia has been the only team in the 'limelight', if you can call it, for sledging!
The Indian team has been very decent, I would add, owing to the cultural background!
The desperate hosts had to resort to sledging, which is a very in-effective weapon against India, to win the match. This is very unfortunate.
But old habits die hard!
It is important to note that India is now, the one team that Australia fear the most!!!
Sydney will have the two final nails in the coffin, in the form of Murali K and Anil K.
At the end of the series Australia will be well & truly dethroned!!!
I wish the third team in the tr-series was Pakistan or S.Africa, this will mean a tri-series final in Australia without Australia!!!...that would be fun!!!!

Sledging Australians
by Poorna Chandra Thejaswi on Jan 01, 2004 01:24 AM

Australians win most of the matches by sledging their opponents. This is the method they have been adopting for many years against other teams to gain upper hand in the game by irritating their opponents. And unfortunately for other teams like India, Pakistan and Srilanka most international umpires and referees and ICC back this "Roguish" behavior of teams like Australia, England and South Africa. Any game should be played with sportsmanship, dignity and respect for one's opponents. And a game should be won with guts and talent and not with filthy words and bad mannerisms.
It is high time for Australians to learn some basic manners and play the game with good sportsmanship and dignity. And it is better for the game of Cricket if ICC match referees and umpires drop there bi-standards and penalize each and every player with Roguish behavior, without partiality, irrespective of his/her "country", "race" and "color".

Sledging Is In Their Blood!!!
by Arpan on Jan 01, 2004 12:56 AM

Say something new, mate! Not only the entire world but also extra-terrestrial beings are aware of the fact that Australians are notoriously renowned for sledging! They are the "disputed" World Champions in cricket but in sledging they are the undisputed World Champions! Had there been a World Cup on sledging, I am sure that Australia would definitely take the top 5 honours after every 4 years! After all, what more can one expect from the descendants of Aborigines! Sledging, be it in any field, runs in their blood since ages & BAD HABITS SELDOM DIE HARD! Sledging is their birthright & at no cost will they sacrifice their birthright tamely! The best part of it is that the Match Referee, Mike Proctor, just turns a blind eye to these incidents. The Match Referee is like a clown in a circus. He warns players that action will be taken against those players (read bowlers) who do not look at the umpire when appealing! When a bowler is sure that the batsman has nicked the ball & the catch has been taken legally, why should he "look" at the umpire? Just coz the other players are appealing, does that mean that the bowler should "look" at the umpire! So very funny, isn't it?

All Rubbish

What happened in the second innings of 3rd test was usual Australian behavior. They believe in winning not mater what methods are used. India's habit of tolerance is causing the whole thing. Dismissal of Chopra, Hayden not given out, warning by umpire to players, repairing the pitch, Proctor not doing anything about it and sledging to unsettle the batsmen this is all white behavior. All non white cricket fans of world please write me at my email address, YashoKedia@cox.net. We will start a forum and from that platform, we will raise our voice against this bias behavior. A note for Pakistan fans, this call for cooperation is not an Indian thing, it involves you also. Forget India Pakistan rivalry and please join in this call for unity which is for benefit to all of us.

Sledging !
by Indrajeet Bhattacharya on Dec 31, 2003 10:56 PM

When everybody knew about it, why don't Indians come out with a counter sledging rather than following Gandhian principles which till now has given only nothing to our country except humiliation and an unmanly figure in International scenario. Gang & his pal should actually teach Aussies a lesson of sledging, that what sledging actually is... India should prepare bowlers of calibre Marshall, Holding, Garner, Veslie Hall sort which can shatter the ribs, skull, knuckles, knees & toes of the opponent batsman if they cross their verbal limit. I am absolutly against this sort of tolerenece which encourages the mal practices ....
