Team Needs Focus
by Megh Raj Rajeev on Dec 17, 2003 03:29 PM

Congratulations Ganguly & Team. You have made India proud. But that does not mean we party and lose focus. Leaving our superstion behind by going with the same team as we did with Dinesh mongia during the world cup we need to have a good opening pair. Sadagoppan Ramesh should be utilised. Deep das gupta should come back Irfan pathan should be rested when Zaheer comes back.

Vivekanand.
good job Rahul and Lax
by Vivekanand. on Dec 16, 2003 04:10 AM

Laxman has proved again that he is the best middle order batsman in the history of Indian Cricket.
He is also the best when it comes to a match against Australia be it on Indian pitches or in Australia.
And in the company of The great wall Dravid he gets a solid support of a batsman capable of facing and demolishing any attack be it spin or pace of any team in the world.Hats off to both these legendary batsmen who have taken us to a position from where we can win the match.

Aussies get a taste of their own medicine
by Sid on Dec 15, 2003 11:41 PM

Well done for our boys down under. It seems everyone had written them off including their fans. Now Ganguly and co. have shoved all that those uncouth aussies said about our team up their mid-wicket so to speak :-). Way to go India.

Mukund
Reg. Indian fighback
by Mukund on Dec 15, 2003 11:30 PM

After the awesome score in the first innings, I half expected the Indians to let down the Aussies to score about 300 and probably bat into the 5th day. But this is a refreshingly different team. It has found the World Champions caught in mental mistakes. And this Indian team looks capable of exploiting it. The start to the final innings was awesome with Sehwag and Chopra playing their natural games. Who would expect Chopra to hit a boundary in the last over before stumps. This shows poise and determination in this Indian team.
