After all this is the start of the series and our players might not have adapted to conditions, in the longer run one expect's a very good competition to take place
There is no hope for this useless team. Big batting trio will fail, so will Sehwag. We all know how these poor directionless bowling kids will do. This is not a contest. Why are we even there? Preparation is BIG zero. I have no idea why Agarkar is being chosen inspite of Kumble showing good performacne. India will win 0-4 in the test series and might get thrashed even by Zimbabwe looking at how Zim is doing these days. This will be the result.
I dont understand why Saurav Ganguly always fails to take the advantage of winning the toss. When will he learn the lesson of not sending Aussies to bat first. It happened during the world cup finals and he is repeating again. I always see India winning when they bat first but Gaguly helped Aussies again.
Hey guys don't worry look for tomorrow. We will be there. Only one concern is better to have Ramesh than Shewag. Though is good player but not consistence. Once in mansoon rain comes.
The story blames Team India left and right. The same does not go in good taste. You should know that Australia are the best team in the world and what they have done today on field is not extraordinary for them! It's been a routine thing for them. Pls dont belittle the team and the captaincy! It is only the Team India who can offer some resitence to Australia. I agree that our bowling department is a bit weak! So what ? match is still on..We should be hopeful! Its too early to get disheartened!
This is my take on the first day's play, but it applies to any day in this series. I think it's safe to assume that the Aussies will score heavily, come what may. Say, at 4 plus an over. That seems to be their strategy anyway, going by their last year's performance against many teams. So, the thrust for the opposition, in the present case Indians, must be to get them out in the minimum number of overs. If they play 100 overs, they will surely get 400 plus on the board. Getting them out in 70 or 80 overs, especially mopping up the tail quickly, is the only way to restrict them to 300 or below. Now, how do you do this ? Bowl as many wicket taking deliveries as possible. Discipline is important, but one loose ball an over, or even a totally disciplined but predictable spell would still result in 4 plus an over, since they score boundaries so regularly in both these situations. Or loose bowling is the same as disciplined but predictable bowling. So surprise them with beauties every two overs, atleast. That's the only way to get their wickets. They almost play one delivery at a time, so psyching them out by tight controlled bowling may not work. Ponting is an example.
This is useless article written by Faisal. He just criticises every indian decisions. I do not know he is Indian or Paki. Anyway, rediff should give more chance to Ashish Shukla who writes very good reports. --- SKK
u got to be kidding. the title is most inappropritae. how in the world can the indian bowlers disaapoint. the best they cld do is to surprise and the least they cld do is to perform what they r capabale of - be smashed all over the place. there was no disappointment in this. very much expected. where in the world did india have a "bowling"? all they have is a bunch of also rans. once-in-awhile performers. thanks to the disgutingly stupid BCCI we dont ever wake upt to the fact that we need fast tracks in the country for bowlers to emerge or batsmen who cld have the spine to bat. it is but a bog mockery on the indian cricket fan.
