Now that sharad pawar has become the president of BCCI, the day is not far away when players from mumbai make their way into the team.
I only hope that it does not become a repeat of the 80s and mid 90s which saw only mumbai players in the playing eleven irrespective of their form or performance.
As a matter of fact recognition is always low for players from the south. The true fact is that indian cricket has seen its glorious moments only when players from other states have performed. When it comes to personal milestones and records mumbai players are the best.
There is no doubt that this batsman has all it takes to be the best of openers & definitely deserves more than what he has been given so far. Dumping a player for a bad performance in a game or two is a lame excuse our selectors seem to have everytime. Hopefully they will see the performance of some of the good players they keep dumping on these lame grounds and think of the national pride at stake everytime they resort to such cheap politics even in sports.
