Hi Faisal, I always read & appriciate your views & comments on cricket. Well ! I feel sorry that you have to take help of quota system to prove KAle's inclusion in the team. If its only quota system then why not Amit Pagnis of railways / Central zone ? He has done wonderfully well during last many years. I feel Kale's inclusion is not only due to his performance in WI with A team but also with his performance in SA with the A tour. He has been very consistant in domestic circuit as well for last many years & deserves a chance. In fact in selecting Kale I feel selector wanted a person who they can throw away easily after this tour. think of Iquabal Sidiqqi . what happened to him ? where he went after 1 test ? Just because he is from Maharashtra ? & and he has No God Father ?? I agree with you that the balance is good & I hope these player get a chance to play. Also if Salvi fails on those batting friendly tracks then I hope that he is not thrown out like our own Amit Bhandari or T. Kumaran. I expect you to think a bit more while claiming that someone is from quota system. - Bhala
yes indeed!! India needs a test opener. Gambhir can fill in that slot. Hope he plays well and does not go the Sadagopan Ramesh way. I am so sorry for this Ramesh. He was playing well when he was axed from the team. Hope Gambhir takes that opening place in test matches. Salvi must also establish himself as for the Australian tour, we need a right left fast bowling combination. No need for Srinath to come to Australia. We will go with Zaheer, Nehra and Salvi.
