Why is the author stressing that the helium balloon is imported? What's wrong with importing anything if you could afford it? Do you think the Chinese used all home made technology for their olympics? You may have a different view point but try to be positive once in a while and admire our success inspite of all the negative stuff that went on before the games.

Sheela Bhatt the difference between your well grammered write and the belief of others is you forgot what is the core point you need to concentrate on. imperfections or entertainment. PLease came there for entertainment and it was justified to them. you are an american chef who will concentrate more on how the food should be presented rather than the taste. Indian prepare the food in the dirtiest way (to put in your words) but the taste is heavenly. So please do your homework. There are two categories of ladies in the world. Aishwarya and Rakhi sawant. One was known to the country for what he is capable of, one who made fellow compatriots proud and other who was known to the workd because of controversies. you belong to the second category who prefers limelight no matter how.

I don't understand what you all get by projecting the Negative side of India and by criticizing every step that the country takes. With due respects, India is a developing nation and it is a great achievement for the country to host the CommonWealth games amidst problems and issues from all sides such as terrorism, flooding, Ayodhya verdict, etc etc. It is the duty of every Indian Citizen to support the role and initiatives taken by the Government (elected by all citizens) so that we can realize the dream of Mahatma Gandhi Ji and our ex-President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam to make India a developed nation in the years to come. If we can't contribute to this development, the very least we can do is not criticize and ridicule the efforts taken by others! I sincerely hope and humbly request that the Media is more positive in its outlook such that, it inspires people to serve our Nation with Pride and Honor. JAI HIND

I for one loved the performances. My favorite was the 'Mehendi drawn by kids on the white sheet' That was so unique and creative !! I had never seen that before.
