"Did Federer deserve to win?" Rediff....time and again you prove that you are a bunch of morons and boneheads. Does the question make any sense? Better of the two won the title today. Stop posting such nonsensical articles/questions.

If it was nonsensical, why did you respond MC and waste yr valuable time. The comments of most, for a change are without any sarcastic or abusive language that is the hallmark of response of surfers to most of the other articles. This is how we should respond to the questions of rediff to make the debate useful, in my humble opinion.
A-Rod was clearly in the zone for most of the game, but R-Fed raised his game just enough when it really mattered. Even at his best, Roddick was eventualy no match for Federer, who himself was clearly below par yesterday.
Both are great players. It was not Roddick's day. It was Federer's. But I am yet to know a player who has not lost a service game in a battle fought for over four hours. What a Wimbeldon Final. And sorry to Paes for losing mixed doubles.
For the most part, Roddick outplayed Federer. But Federer hung in there. In the final analysis one person had to break somewhere. Roddick was the man to break;Federer capitalized. However there is one thing. Federer was not at his best and still managed to win. Would the match have been this close if he was at his best? Anyway great game. Congratulations Fedex; Hard luck A-Rod
Federer could not break roddick serve till the last game, whereas Roddick had broken federer's serve thrice. Roddick was definitely playing better than federer.

You are Mad ! This is their 21 meeting, out of this Fedx won 19. So doubt Roddick improved his game and played very well in this match. But Federer simply outplayed him.
Roddick should have won. He was the better player for most of the match. He was the one who broke Federers serve twice, while Federer was unable to break Roddicks serve right upto the very end. In the end I think Federer got lucky that he was serving first in the final set. All he had to do was break and it was game over. Credit to Roddick for having played so well. His game has come a long way and I think he will win the next majoh, the US open. Go Roddick!
