BUT THE WINNER IS NOT DUMB INFACT HE IS VERY INTELLIGENT. SO I GUESS ALL INDIANS SHOULD BE PROUD OF HIS VICTORY. WE SHOULD NOT FORGET THAT WE WON T20 FINAL BY LUCK AND NOT ON TALENT. THIS IS EVIDENT IN CURRENT AUSTRALIA VS INDIA SERIES.INSTEAD WE SHOULD CONCENTRATE ON LEARNING AND IMPROVING OUR CRICKET GAME.

As a student when I used to read newspapers reports of Gary Kasparow and Russian domination of chess... I used to wonder could even an Indian make to that level... Now that you have shown that you have the mettle ... we are proud of you.. Keep the flag flying...notwithstanding.

Need for a sports culture in india...
by abhimanyu on Oct 05, 2007 09:19 PM

Time India started giving attention to buildup of chess infrastructure and sponsorships for chess in India .

We will then produce chess champions consistently and dominate the chess world permanently.

Same with other sports as well.

Younus,

I think u have seen Tamil movie Ghilli or the telugu movie Okkadu lot of times. I think u r a WWF addict and think Hulk hogan is the strongest man in the work. An american researcher is ready to pay 100 crore for anybody who is ready to give his brain, i think u shud volunteer, since u can even 500 crores, since u r brain is still un-used.

GREATNESS OF VISHWANATHAN ANAND...
by abhimanyu on Oct 05, 2007 09:08 PM

Chess is given more importance in other countries than other sports ,as it is seen as a game where the smartest and the most intelligent wins and hence great prestige and pride is associated with it.

Hence tremondous resources are allotted to it.

Inspite of lack of good coaches, sponsorship or resources , Anand still went on to defeat his other foreign rivals who were blessed with better coaches, training and resources and conquered them all to become the world number 1 and the world champion twice.

This shows the sheer greatness of this world champion.

Even his greatest rival Kasparov himself commented ," Just imagine what would have happened if Anand was born in Russia. How much more dangerous he would have become. "

What a man.

We are proud of you, Anand. Keep it up.

JAI HIND.
