SHOBA DE
by dipak anand on Jan 18, 2013 11:35 AM  | Hide replies

Shobha, please understand the politics has been made dirty by a few political families. They are playing all sorts of tectics, and these fellows can go to any extent to damage the honesty, sincerity of any newcomer in this line. The present politicians have made politics as business, so that they may pass on the same to their families only. All sorts of dirty tricks are played by these people, so that an honest person think over twice before entring politics. What Rahul is doing, he is bringing new crop of politicians from the old political families, who were loyal to Congress, leave aside one or two exceptional cases. Drastic changes are needed in this business.

We do not have the Means
by Swapnil on Jan 18, 2013 11:28 AM

IT is not that the youth doesn't want to get into politics. IT's just that politics has become such a costly affair that we cannot afford it.

Wow...quetioning about her kids. Dude, what exactly is your own contribution to your community(forget country, city etc). I am sure that you are one of those techies who roam the malls and multiplexes as if its your domain and check cricket scores and watch epl on weekends. First ask yourself what have you done and then question others(that too without facing them , in the safety of the virtual world in your office cubicle)

SHODA DE NEEDS TO KNOW A LOT MORE INNER OF POLITICS
by anjaneyappa padma on Jan 18, 2013 11:21 AM

Its not having guts to join indian politics,if you are not from political family background no body cares for u,however educated ur/,highly knowledgable person.no money ,no vote bank, the educated brutes should come forward to vote in the 1 st line,Then the political scenario of india will change. The vote bank is converted overnight by givining notes and drinks, then how can u expect good netas to rule us.politicians try to advantage if ur a female? then wat shobha de is taking about.ask her to contest for elections this year then she will not talkanymore about politics of india.

Indian politics not for every one
by Chatur R on Jan 18, 2013 11:16 AM

Shoba de....how much does she know about indian politics..Its looks really rosy when you read the Constitution of our country.IT SAYS ANY INDIAN CAN CONTEST ELECTIONS,BUT THE REALITY IS,IF HAPPEN TO BE A HONEST PERSON OUT TO CONTEST FOR THE PEOPLE,THEN YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO DO SO.THERE WILL BE TREMENDOUS PRESSURE EITHER TO WITHDRAW OR SUPPORT THE CANDIDATE OF ESTABLISHED POLITICAL PARTIES.IF THESE VERBAL PRESSURE DONT WORK ON YOU,YOU WILL BE OFFERED LOATS OF MONEY TO WITHDRAW.FINALLY IF YOU STILL RESIST THEN YOU WILL BE THREATHENED WITH DIRE CONSEQUENCIES,PROBABLY PHISHICALLY ATTACKING YOU & YOUR NEAR & DEAR ONES,NOW MISS DE CAN YOU TELL ME WHICH COMMON HONEST CITIZEN WILL RISK HIS/HER LIFE.ITS TRUE THERE IS POLICE,BUT DO YOU KNOW THE POLICE HARDLY ACT,IF THE COMPLAINT IS FROM THE COMMON MAN????SINCE POLITICS CAN GIVE YOU HUGE RETURNS,THE SITTING LEADERS WILL NEVER ALLOW ANY ONE ELSE,OTHER THAN THEIR KITHS /KINS TO CONTESST ELECTIONS.THIS IS THE REAL STORY...dear shoba.

You are incorrect as usual Mam
by Honesh Indian on Jan 18, 2013 11:14 AM

you people ( aleady present in plotics) have made politics so bad if someone enters, you all put him/her in jail...and youth can not take that much risk as He/she has to take care of his/her parenst etc so only political backgroundn one/corrupt persons looking for money can enter into polotics. Given clean enviornment, Indian Youth can outperfrom world in this field as done in other area...

Sujoy Chatterjee
PERFECTLY RIGHT
by Sujoy Chatterjee on Jan 18, 2013 11:13 AM

I think the observation of Sobha De is very much correct. Actually there are still avenues in India to express oneself. This opportunity to express oneself is letting out the steam. Whereas in Egypt and other countries where the youths have jumped into the fray to bring about a radical change had no opportunities to express. So the pressure built up to lead to an explosion. But this cannot be the excuse to remain on the sidelines to watch the predicament and lament " I am disillusioned" The youths must take the plunge to rescue the country from the morass of Capitalism as it is bleeding the country white. We need leaders like Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Bhupendranath Dutta, Bhagat Singh, Master Da Surjya Sen, to galvanize the youths of India to bring about Socialism to usher in an era of justice, equity, peace and tranquility. Sobha De is very much pertinent to point out the role of the youth but she is silent over capitalism in India. I like to kindly remind her that India will sink further if capitalism flourishes at the cost of millions.
