Bal Thackeray should be shot dead.
by bc patro on Mar 06, 2010 11:55 AM  | Hide replies

This BT thinks that Bombay belonged to his grand-grand father, then he transfered this property to his grand-father; his grand-father again transfered this immovable property to his father and his father transfered this property to BT. BT just thinks that Bombay belongs to him now which is his ancestral property. I think the governemnt must shot these anti-nationals dead/maimed for creating disturbance in the country. He or others like Raj Thackeray or Uddhav Thackray are not in anyway less than any anti-India terrorist.

Hi patro, it is very nice to read your viewpoints, but one biggest mistake is made by you that you called them Anti-India. Well, Let Supreme court tell them that they are terrorist, but one thing, would like to share with you that when Mumbai was burning in 1993, when hindu womens, girls were raped, when innocent hindu peoples (whethere marathis or north indians) were being killed by anti-nation peoples, there was only one MAN in mumbai who fought for the life of Hindus and He is Mr. Balasaheb Thakre. Today, you may call him as a Terrorist, but go to the houses which were destroyed in 1993, would hear the praise for Balasaheb Thakare. But the thing is that we indians do not want to accept the truths and the facts. We love to listen only "Hate" formula, would love to lIVE RAPES shown on hindi and english news channels, but would never be interested to go and see the histroy of 93. If you dont know, refer one article published on Oct 27, 1993 in Times of India and read brave story of this Hindu King - Balasaheb Thakre. I am sure being an Hindu, you would not dare to talk against him.

Jahalwadi, it is plain and simple anti-national to speak against the rights of Indians as enshrined in the constitution of India. So, it is anti-national to deny the rights of Indians to live in Mumbai.

This was evidenced by top industrialist and businessmen in Mumbai and that is the reason as of date, they are very close to Shiv-sena chief. They personally (look at recent visit of Mukesh Ambani's with Nita Ambani, Amithabh Bachhan's, Sudha murthy - wife of N.R. Narayana Murthy, Subhatra roy - sahara parivaar ) visits to Thakre"s house to wish him on his birthday. Sitting in house, watching baised medias which are paid by ruling party in Maharashtra and at the center and commenting is very easy man, but going so deep and study the matter is very difficult now-a-days. The fact of the matter is that we indians are mostly well-known for our double standards. On face, we say that we are Gandhiji followers and at back we do all those things which Gandhiji against of it. But who cares? Neither Media nor the common man like you and me. They just publish the news without knowing the facts and which ultimately helps to spread hate against Maharashtra to the rest of India and againsts rest of India to Maharashtrians. Before closing, still i would love to suggest you to watch recent Live Discussion with Pakistani's News channel, their foreign ministers on TIMES NOW and observe the comments made by pakistanis on Mr. Bal thakre. For Pakistan, Mr. Bal thakre & Mr. Praveen (bajrang Dal) is biggest enemy like USA have Osamana, you would spent time commenting on Bal Thakre. No Issues, i personally feel that to know the importance of Bal thakre, you should have born in Hindu family of Mumbai.

Mumbai does not not belong to anybody.Like other cityMumbai is crowed attracting city.It is comman all big cities attracts public from all places including abroad.BANGALORE is over croweded with migrants. No one should not make it issue.
Our leaders should concern with globel warming and rising of sea level every year. One fine morning AMCHI MUMBAI will sink in water.
We do not know what our great leaders now fighting for Mumbai will do?
In this world nothing is permanent.
Like other big cities in India and world Mumbai belongs to everybody.
It belongs to those who work hard and develop this city.

Mumbai belongs to all. is very well said and done, all know about this fact, no need for repetition.

Come stay and work in Mumbai for a few months to experience the ground reality that Mumbai is the most populated city of India. All this hue-n-cry is de-populate Mumbai without hatred to anyone, and nothing else

And no one can challenge nature or predict the happenings of future, but you seem to know that only Amchi Mumbai is going to sink. Good thought!

Marathi manoos is right as of now !
by Cedric Vaz on Mar 06, 2010 11:49 AM  | Hide replies

As long as the Constitution of India recognises individual statehood and a State of Maharashtra, the Marathi manoos and Bal Thackeray as their leader, have every right to protect their rights and interests in the State. If one wants to give Mumbai and Maharashtra a national face and flavour then the Centre should scrap all the States in India and just divide by boundaries, the whole of India into five zones, viz. North Zone, South Zone, East Zone, West Zone and Central Zone, as same is required for better administration and governance. To hell with any divisions based on statehood, language, culture and religion which will always cause turmoil and unrest in our country when should be united as one !

And if only 25% of the present Mumbai population migrate to Bengaluru. Bengaluru will explode with shortage of food, water, electricity, transportation etc. You will have to finally react thats sure.

Thackeray dynasty's contribution to Maharashtra
by jagannadh rao on Mar 06, 2010 11:48 AM  | Hide replies

Will any one tell me what constructive positive and enduring contributions have been made by Thackeray clan to add to progress prosperity and prestige of Maharashtra and its people in particular? I fail to understand why they resort to cheap publicity stunts and grandstanding on every issue. I am told that Thackeray (why does he not call himself Thakre like many others but resorts to an anglicised version of his name is also confusing.) was a cartoonist by profession, I pray God that his politics would not reduce his stature to that of a caricature in one of his own cartoons. Variety is the spice of life. If the local talent was good enough then the outsiders would not have an easy life in Mumbai. What Shri Thakre and his clan should really do is to train the local lads so that their skills and committment to jobs will be better than those of so called OUTSIDERS . This ranting and raving and destruction of public and private properties should stop and be replaced by saner counsels. I too love Mumbai and its ageless appeal. Iam sure there are many others whose love for Mumbai is no less than that of any partiotic Indian. As the popular ditty goes " COME TO BOMBAI! COME TO BOMBAI! BOMBAI MERI HAI!".Please dont let the cosmopolitan appeal of this great metropolis be a victim of churlish political ambitions.

Don't remind the old cartoonist...he may ban Usha Uthup(Iyer) as anti national, anti-maharashtra and prevent her from entering Bombay...oops Mumbai...until she apologises to SS and cuts a new disc saying Mum, mum, mum, mum...mumbai teri hai.
