GOD FORBIDS TALIBANISATION OF PAKISTAN
by Ranbir Johar on Feb 19, 2009 06:47 PM  | Hide replies

Those who feel that fighting Taliban is the responsibility of USA and Pakistan are wrong. If Taliban takes control of Pakistan and nuclear arsenal falls into their hands, first target will be India and then USA. India has to decide whether to fight Taliban now or after Talibanisation of Pakistan. First option is better since later we have to fight radical Pak army and Taliban together.

While I agree with your views, here are a few facts about Talibans

Talibans have always fought battles in their home turf, the rugged terrain of Afganistan and NWFP suits their geurilla warfare. They wud not be very effective outside their den

They got a lot of hype, bcos they thwarted the NATO forces. It needs to be remembered that very few American forces actually fought the war on the ground. They always used Northern Alliance in afganistan and Pak army in PAK

Talibans were able to survive bcos of support from local people and PAK army. Otherwise they wud have been wiped off by US
I wonder how effective the Talibans wud be against the Indian army in terra incognito without local help

by Bhala Manoos on Feb 19, 2009 06:39 PM

Enemy at the gate , Now the eternal secularists ( Mr. Bid wai) have really got alarmed due to this clear and present danger. He knows bashing hindutva thugs back home is easy, dealing with taliban a differnt ball game. Some of his ilk may still give Taliban a chance. At least the indegenous ones.

Future is ours

Pakistan in its endevour to compete with India, forgot that economic prowess and internal stability are more important than military might. India is 11th largest economy, an economic power house and a stable democracy. World community has recognised India as a responsible power. Future is ours!!!!

Do not be too sure! All you need is brainless mullah who does not comprehend what a nuclear bomb is to bomb India! And our future will be gone!

But the positive side of it will be that since we all know the QUALITY of their nuclear bomb, it may not explode at all!

India never compared itself with Pakistan. India should never compare itself with CHina as well. Communist China can never be the model of development for India. India will set the benchmark

Taliban are welcome in Pak
by GODAVARTI RAmesh on Feb 19, 2009 06:02 PM  | Hide replies

Many muslims view Taliban as the followers of the purest form of Islam. Hence their presence will not be such a problem in Pak as is being made out to be.

Pakistan amiable to Taliban
by GODAVARTI RAmesh on Feb 19, 2009 05:58 PM  | Hide replies

Taliban is not such a bad word for many among muslims. Many of them believe they are the followers of the purest form of Islam. Indeed there is secret admiration for Taliban and Al qaida etc for the stiff fight they are giving to USA. Is it not a fact that with all the technology and rescources at their disposal the US forces have not been able to overcome the terrorists in Afghanistan. Hence the takeover of Pak by Taliban is viewed differently there.

9/11 was the best thing that happened in recent history
by JGN on Feb 19, 2009 05:57 PM  | Hide replies

9/11 was the best thing that happened in recent history. Uncle Sam woke up only when a bomb exploded in their rear side. We have been crying hoarse about terrorism since 1989 but no one cared to listen to us. Now US and Israel is taking care of terrorists.

we shud checkmate US by 'secretly' entering into a deal with pak-taliban over kashmir(read:valley to pakistan) and withdrawing from all strategical endeavours with the US as far as afghanistan is concerned.

9/11 was NOT the best...history. but one thing's for sure, the US, at least the sadist rumsfeld-chenyists, wudnt think twice if they had to bomb their own citizens if it served their interests.

Don't sit in your ivory tower. They had the guts to ACT. Clinton and other weaklings, didn't do jack.

By the way, the Indian response to Pakistani Terrorism is Clintonian/Carterian. TWIDDLING THE THUMBS.

even China can't be glad. After pak , it's India and US business in Asia. Then it even won't leave China-because their ideology is to spread Isalm all over world by force.China can't stop even by nuke threats to Taliban.bacuse Talivan ideplogy is not only in Afghanistan , it is spread in all Isalmic countries. How many bombs will China drop on motyer earth to save itself from Taliban. An advice to both India and US - "An inteliigent enemy is better than a folloish friend" .And China is not like Taliban - so please u 3 make friends rather fighting within.

China is going to get it big one day. China thinks it can control Pakistan. It is only dealing with the Pakistani rulers. It is not dealing with the Pakistani general public.

Nobody can control the fanatical segments of the population. Even the Pakistani army is afraid of these Jihadis. The Pakistani Generals are safe only in their barracks, but not on the streets.

China already fights a Taliban backed terrorist organization in Uighur province.

Except that they went hard right in the bud and
terrorist leaders are either dead or in the jail

India will remain secular so long as Hin dus are in majority but when some people are in majority they want their own 7th century laws to be implemented. That is what we are discussing now!!!!!!
