genocide and UNDP report
by raja on Jul 30, 2004 12:14 PM

Thank Good, some one has done research to bring truth. Let us be honest when we call this article not good. In India muslims and hindus live and work and do business with each other every minute. Tensions do occur. What triggers such tensions--is not analysed or lokked into. We only blame one group for everything when other group suffers. We keep silent wehn first group suffers.

So many intelectuals formed NGOs and started bombing Gujarat Govt, clarely proving the bias or lack of professionalism amongst police, but then they do not take it forward to shout consistently to make such Police reforms recommendations, made for last 30 years lying in dust.

No one wants riots. It must be curbed by authorities. When they fail, we must reform rules drastically to prevent it inseatd of blaming politicians and making a bonfire. All the people blaming MODI--what have you done to prevent in peace time.

Thank god someone has opened eyes. Do not feel angry at this. Cool mind and dispassionate review will prove that Hindus are always at the rceiving end.

Sad article...
by Sagheer on Jul 30, 2004 12:06 PM

The author apparently wants headlines and nothing more. He could have made the article more credible had he hid his blalantly extremist views. The ground reality is India has to live with muslims, you cant wish them away. A pragmatic approach would be more in order rather than inciting dialogues by this pathetic 2 paise article writer. Rediff standards have gone down by publishing articles like these and also inciting communal feelings between sikhs and hindus by running a series on the Operation Blue Star. Do I see a Brahmanical conspiracy?

Why do u feel that this is the most biased article. This is the true fact. The incidents like Ayodhya and Gujrat happened only once in indian history. But, this kind of incidents happen daily in the hindu minority countries like pak and bangladesh. If we hindus can't stand up and support the hindus inside and outside our country we will never save our tradition and religion. People like you support these hardcore communities. If they get involved in the mainstream of the country no one will raise hands on them. Believe it or not this is a Hindu nation where the majority are hindus although declared as a (Pseudo)Secular nation. If not we then who are going to save the hindus. Plz wake up. If all Muslims and christians can get united then why not we?? Save Hindu religion and people before they also get converted to Islam.

Idiotic

This article is probably one of the worst propaganda of Saffron party. Probably the author (should I use this word "author" against his name ??) has some glass-relationship of those people like Mr. Modi. Rediff authorities, please do not play with the sentiments of the Indians in you most viewing site.

UNDP is ignorant or is the journalist ???
by Abeed Fazal on Jul 30, 2004 08:17 AM  | Hide replies

Love & Hate are two of the strongest human emotions.

It is sad that some politicians & journalists lack the former and so strive on the latter - needless to say, to the detriment of their own soul.

Is not SRI RAM the epitome of LOVE & COMPASSION ???

Is it not better for Indians - Hindus or Muslims - to fill their hearts with love for their Lord - by whatever name they call Him ???

Is not Shanti & Salaam the same ???

As any Hindu or Muslim who sincerely worships his / her respective Lord knows, "real knowledge" is beyond the barriers of intellect or language - Sanskrit or Arabic or English.

If we expect Love, Compassion & Mercy from our Lord then why not extend some to our neighbours and society ?

Osama Bin Laden, Mr. Bush and those who breed communal / religios hatred are plunging themselves into darkness out of their own free will.

Is not LIGHT the universal symbol of all RELIGION ?

Our respected journalist friend should strive to spread that light with his pen ( keyboard ) rather than try to extinguish it - Listen to K.L. Saigal's DIYA JALAA - you will experience the power / magic of his voice AND you may perhaps hear your own inner voice.

AUM SHANTI
