AR Rahman has given wonderful songs in the past. Is his Oscar a fluke? Already there are lot of murky things happening in the CWG prep!!! Inspite of all these, India is organizing the games and at least he should have had in his mind that he has to deliver the best. And on the top of all, he has charged Rs.5 crores. Its a shame!!!
yes, it was not his best. I think the only reason was that, expections were too high. In the past there were too many expamples, when expectations were too high the output was pretty normal or too bad. This time it happened with AR too. I dot see any reason why this song is being compared to WAKA WAKA.
a.r. rahman is one of the most over-rated person.....he is a man of quantity.....people like Mohit Chauhan (singer) are quality oriented and even if they do less, it reflects their talent

Sure A R Rahman is overconfident now a days because of the awards he received but he don’t know the creations of other people (Great Writers like Gulzar saab & Singers) because of whom He received such big awards. He took the complete credits alone. He is a good composer of one kind of music only and that’s because of good writers & singers otherwise his music is not good. He composed some good songs but if you will go to back, you will see the great writer (like Gulzar Saab & Javed Aktar) & singer and then you will realize about the songs. He is good composer for one kind of music but not a good writer & singer and sure he was overconfident before CWG them song released. See the very very low level words that he used for such a song that is going to represent a country and is going to become a history forever. Rehman is not a great composer. He is a good composer/Musician for one kind of music only. He used western tunes in his music most of the time which Today’s Youth like very much in India specially. He charge 5 Crore Rupees for such a bad song. Is he think one time from where this money is coming, Its our (like you and me public) money because of some blockhead & illicit politicians. CWG theme song is very very low in standards, even ek gali-kuchhe ka ladaka bhi bana sakta thha this type of song.
Mr V K Malhotra, before the song was publicly released what was he doing ,did he not hear the song ,did he directly come and listen to song when Rehman was performing on the stage. He is asking for the song to be done again after all this. So is Rehman responsible or this committe. If at all they had problem why raise sooooooo laaaaaaaaate and make a public tamasha out of it, Salute to them.
We Indians are great in doing one thing very well. When 1 person throws stone at a person then everyone else starts to throw as well. This is what is happening to AR Rahman as well. First thing song is surely very good so what if not Rahmans best its just that he is being victim becuase one Minister said somehting and it became headlines. So as we are used to we followed suit Second ,its so nice to pull our own people down when we should be gearing up for the event and keep our pride in front the other countries but no we are pulling down our own people making fun of ourself in front of others and then complain why other countries degarde us. There might be countires where their composers must be given them worst of songs but I dont think their countries glorify it this way only to bring themselves to shame.
And far as that money is concerned, Foolish hero heroines get paid 100 crores rupees for movies which flop, this money is nothing compared to that. Probably some people could not share that money that they thought of making it public to the whole world. Never heard about such details about other money transactions before ?

1) Yes I like this song so what it is not going to win Oscar, just becuase it is AR rehman you want Oscar winnign songs everytime ? 2) Ok , you suggest better buddy 3) Yes I am his man ,so ??? Am I suppose to hate him before commenting ?

Correct Neha. But charging for anything which is going to be staged before the world and then it not being able to meet even the minimum standards of your previous set standards..is nothing but a SIN. I as an Indian and as one of his biggest fan since i was a toddler feel totally cheated
