Why is this author obsessed with Tees Maar Khans supposed failure
by Heloise on Dec 29, 2010 03:41 PM  | Hide replies

I don't understand why this writer is obsessed with Tees Maar Khan's supposed failure. Everyday there is an article on it's failure when we don't even know how much it has collected! Why didn't we have similar articles about Guzaarish or Raavan?

BCOZ GUZAARISH AND RAAVAN WERE ATLEAST DECENT MOVIES THOUGH IT FLOPPED AND IT WASNT PROMOTED OR HYPED SHAMELESSLY TO THE EXTENT TMK DID.

As far as I can see, every movie nowadays is hyped and promoted relentlessly. Some find ways to do it well and some don't. Does that mean that the movie should be ripped apart like this? Is TMK the only bad movie which was hyped?

It seems like a systematic and dedicated effort to sabotage the movie. This is not done, no matter how bad the movie is!

SRK or no SRK, Tees Maar Khan was bad and it failed. SRK's presence wouldnot have saved this pathetic movie. It was a forced laughter & a no brainer.

yeah bcoz, mnik is an all time blockbuster in the overseas market and a hit in the indian market because it netted 73.50 crores in total whereas tmk will finish at only 65 crores or less. Thus making it a 5 crore loss to its distributors.

my name is khan is not an indian favourite because it lacks dancing and colors and srk plays a disabled character , but globaly to audience who like films not for songs and colors and sexy hero it is the greatest film ever, iam from egypt i saw it 5 times and couldnot get enough a brilliant story , director actors, i became srk fan because of mnik and it is the heighest indian film ever film in box office world wide, but tmk is just a normal hindi movie not a global one it might earn more in indian market but not globally.

Can you tell me what is common between Paa, Ghajini, Koi Mil Gaya, etc...

All were super hits in spite of hero playing a disbled character...

For a film to be hit it should atleast have a good story...which unfortunately MNIK did not have....

What Paid Article you Buffon

Srk hasn't said YES to any scripted movies of Sirish Kunder's & he's stood by his desicion. "I am sure you can see the en-result why"

SRK was the first one to be offered Jaan-E-Mann, TMK & even forthcoming Joker

The answer was one & same to all 'NO

I am not a fan of SRK, Akshay or Aamir, but I, including all, must accept that only SRK (not even Aamir) has been able to make a bad movie a super hit (in terms of box office collections). May be Aamir now can match SRK.

yes it is true that collections of TMK has falled all time low.
but why cause everyone is so free and intellecutal dat everywhere is huge negative marketing for TMK.
From the day 1 while it was the second biggest opening of indian cinema.
still everyone is saying it is d biggest flop.
