the reason why films like guzarish, action replay and KHJJS dont work is because the linking pin are the bacchans.. people have stopped liking them and they dont have any pulling power any more

I think big directors some time take things for granted,this directors are extremly tilented no doubt,but they don't think what the audience want or like now a days, they make or show what they like,we audience need entertainment like comedies ,thrill,suspence,good horror also,but this big director never understand.we want three hours of full entertainment sanjay leela bansali are u listening,can sanjayji make comedies, sound impossible.

First of all we clear this IDEA that WE r going to enter tain OURs 3 hrs for these films . In these days there are many ways to see . So why we r waisting time to go halls . Sit on home dont BLAME DIRETORS
No one can actually predict BO thats true..and going by the trend today it is more of Economics of the movie than anything else..See movies like Ishqiya,LSD,Peepli,Udaan,tere Bin laden all of these were good and different films that were targeted to the right audience for that genre with limited shows and budget n recovered the cost. Same said about mindless Dabanng or Golmaal3 which were targeted to aam janta for commercial success at large scale n it clicked..Now problem with Gujarish n khelein Hum jee jan sey were diff. (Am not counting Action replay as that was a bad film in all respect).. Gujarish - a copy of 2004 Spanish classic Mar Adenro, is not a well made film also. Having Hrithik n Ash in the film Bhansali tried to keep a balance between art n commerce but failed in between. Yeah I agree there were few scenes which must have appealed to those who understands cinema but then that were also few.Thus word of mouth were too minimal.. coming to Khelien Hum jee Jan sey, being a bengali I am proud of teh Chittagong revolution where teenagers were involved in freedom movement. Thanks to Ashutosh Gowariker for making a film on it but then the subject is tricky and one need to have a solid script.Though he managed great authenticity while portraying the incident (no commercialization done thankfully) but somehow it became a slow documentary which would appeal to only those who are acquainted with the incidence.Moreover Abhishek Bachchan did a pathetic job as Masterda Surjo

Sen.An Ajay Devgan could have brought in more crowds. and also the budget should hav been restrained. Indian audience are wise enough now and they are ready to accept good different films (see Ishqiya,LSD,Peepli,Udaan,tere Bin laden n now Phans gaye Obama).. but then they should be rightly targeted and economically distributed.Next month Aamir Khan film Dhobi Ghaat is releasing.Already the film has been applauded in Toronto film festivals and going by the promo the camera work indeed looks world class.Frankly speaking it will be a GOOD ART HOUSE CINEMA but still it will be a hit because Aamir Khan knows the trick of the business,about targeting right audience, having the right number of screen release (earlier he did that with TZP with limited release n then spreading wings with heavy word of mouth publicity)

I Donno why and how but 99 out of 100 times I can identify a bong moshay in a crowd. May be b'coz they all look so constipated and ugly, mam bannerjee types.
