Entirely contrasting reviews by Taran Adarsh (bollywoodhungama) and Raja Sen (rediff). The former gave the film 4/5. Here it is giving 1/5. I saw the movie yesterday and agree with Taran's review. This is a superb movie.
I've been glimpsing through the reviews of this guy for over 3 yrs now..... n guess what... now I've a perfect formula at hand.... any movie that this fella rips apart is a must-watch for me. until recently, i used to curse him, wondering who on earth gave him this job.But now his reviews r kinda amusing read. so don't bother about this review. go for it, the movie's definitely worth a watch. the second half is probably a little stretched, but a movie worth your weekend evening nonetheless!

u freakin RAJA sen... have some brain or no... if the same movie had SRK u would have given it 6.. and its easy to spk abt the movie.. just try ur hand at it and u'll end up making a disastrous movie which wouldnt be fit even for regional languages.. and its a request that u please stop giving reviews.. u bloody dont even know how to give one.. just go home and sleep..
Newyork is certainly not a bad film. It is not very good but good and the actors have done a fair job if not brilliant. People are used to melodrama that this movie lacks. Feel sorry for the movie makers who did not pay enough to the reviewers. Deserves 2.5.
This movie tells us about the reality, that is the way innocent people were tortured after 9/11. It is a sensitive movie which refreshes our memory about the event which occured 8 yrs back It surely deserves more than one star
Its high time Yash Raj Films should be more serious in selecting right projects. Enough is Enough. When will we be able to see another kabhi kabhi, Silsila, or DDLJ?
The review was utter crap.. as expected. The movie is worth a watch. It is closer to Hollywood than Bollywood. Don't listen to all these detractors and armchair useless critics. Watch the movie..
the movie is certainly disappointing! the only reason that the multiplexes are full is because this the first big banner movie to be released in a long time. The subject it deals with is a sensitive one, but the story line is as weak as it could get and the acting... well .. at least I never went in to see some good acting from anybody but Irrfan! But what I did surely expect was a good and sensitive take on the issue that the film deals with... It doesnt seem worth a watch...or a thought! The only thing that could make you sit through the three hours are the FAB looks of KATs and John!!
