Great loss to All

Sujatha is great writer whose "en iniya Iyanthira" is well known to everyone which talks about future in 1970s itself. His dialogues are awesome in shankar's movie which includes "indian" "mudalvan" sivaji.. He played a significant role in taking information on trends in science and technology to the common man through his simple articles. An engineer, Sujatha was instrumental in designing and producing the Electronic Voting Machine, which was used first at the time of Padur by-elections (Kerala) successfully when he was working with Bharat Electronics. May his soul rest in peace.

Sujatha's demise
by saikrishnan nil on Feb 28, 2008 05:25 PM

A truly versatile personality! There is very little in Tamil literature he has not touched-right from the Sangam poetry dating back to 3rd Century BC to the modern writings, science fictions etc. Single handedly, he had created interest for youth in science by simplifying the scientific jargons and writing in lucid and easily understandable language. He revolutionalised the Tamil story writing. In any book fair, his books used to be top sellers! Those of us who were privileged to read his works right from his "Nylon Kayiru " days, will sorely miss him. May the Lord enjoy his company in the other world!

Respect to Sujatha
by sethuraman chandrasekaran on Feb 28, 2008 05:23 PM

Sujatha was the first science fiction writer in tamil . He was an Alumnus from the prestigious MIT Chennai , graduated during the same period Kalam graduated from MIT and not from IIT as mentioned in the rediff article .

Also his writings had the reality touch you would find as in Kalki's writings.
