i have watched all episodes and and what i could feel is that- actually only 2-3 singers had some talent(in originality)like Priyani.Abhilasa and Abhas ,rest all were trying to ape old sung songs. if really we want musical talent then they should be given all new unsung songs without music so that their voice quality and range can be ascertained. Hope Next time this will be followed. Irfan-even Irfan had range for High pitched songs.soft and lower noted need to be improved. Toshi-as far Toshi is concerned he is good for Club singing and may become another like Kailash Kher with limited range and only one particular Styled Songs. Sumitra- good beauty and may become stage pop singer. Prantik and Prantika- learn and learn more and for God Sake Prantik Please remove your cap and stop aping Abhijit. Mirande and Arshprit- regional folk songs Gujarati and Punjabi are your future try and good luck.

I do agree with the statements above. My openion is give mimimum 50% marks to judges and may be 10 to 25% to guests and 25% to public. Its totally business trap and not for talent. Even though I don't know about basics of Music, the feel we can hear while Priyani, Abhilasa and Abhas singing. Secondly, there should be two voices one for male and another for female singers. Hope next time, Director will think about it.
Next, Abhijit behaviour in many episodes is abnormal. He is not the only one judge, he should respect others openions and should learn how to treat and respect participants too.

i am really really satisfied with the Final Punch. actually all the participants were awesome, no doubt about it, but still there are such guys and gals who deserves to be VOI except Ishmit and Harshit. both are very much talented singers but think about Aabhas man...! he was a guy who deserves to be our VOI. thats why, I request to all the people please please vote for only that candidate who really deserves to continue. dont see that the guy is from so so state and thats why have to vote him only... this is not a Voice of a single State... its a Voice of India...

Good analysis! But ultimately what counts is who won the race? Thats true for all professions. Seldom are the best academic brains the greatest achievers in corporate professions or in entrepreneurships. The winning combination is always a mixture of some talent, lot of hard work and single minded focus and a good soul [may not be generous], but do not intend to harm anyone. Ismeet had that!
Take a example of Lata Mangeskar. She never married, dedicated all her life for the insecurity of not competition. She never let her own sisters come up and in some instances played bad politics in re-singing many Hindi songs sung by good but new singers, so that they never get a chance. Very few know about it. Because her single minded focus, hard work and good politics [not bad], she is referred to as "Ma Sawarsati" of music. God knows if she could have qualified via your analysis.

The voting were not from only Punjab, it is from all the Zones of India. There are many artist in India, who's talents are exception, but not known to even people other than his street.
Moden world Artists success is rated with the sale of his cassets, the box office collection of his movies, the success of his stage shows. All in monetary account. Thumb Rule is , more SMS means, that much confirmation of sale of Audio Cassets, That much people want to hear his voice. Simple as that.
Even Michael jackson is more successful compared to the Karnataka classical music Legends. The talent and depth of classical music is far away for the reach of western music. But you will find the success of western music is far away for the reach of classical music.

I am extremely disappointed to know that on the power of voting a less deserving singer has won. Good contestents like Toshi, Abhaash and even Harshit lossed because of poor votings from their respective states.

SMS system in talent hunt programs can even turn donkeys to bray in melody. The actual talent was out a long time ago from the show cos of this silly sms system. the judges should decide.

what a waste of talent/s Ishmit VOI didnt even deserve to be in last 10 for me. SMS has robbed Harshit of the crown. but i guess harshit, toshi, abhas, irfan and sumitra have a bigger and better future then the so called VOI. What a waste of viewers time and money... Star should be ashmed and so should be public
Congrats to Ishmit on his victory - it was a close race from the last three onwards. But it must be remembered that regional feelings rather than true recognition of talent ruled the day. Organisers should keep this in mind while conducting such events. We should not blindly ape the American style of Reality shows.

I concur with you. No wonder the members of the jury realised long ago that the voting trend was not according to talent but a number game-a weakness of their system. Hence, they gave the jury award to Abhas who was the best of the lot. Harshit has a Kishore da like voice is classically trained unlike Ishmeet-probably next time they should vest more power in the judges :-)
W al see that the deserving people do not raech the right place & they are wasted. One can see in Cricket, politics & Social work field. Harshit is undoubtedly the winner, if we see Merit but the fate in Kulyug is emotive not on merit. It unfortunate that a talent was not recognised by Indian crowd, which voted for relgion & not talent. Anil

I don't think that injustice was done to harshit..Both of them - Ishmeet and harshit had equal talent and talent was DEFINITELY recognised by the indian crowd! and Ishmeet definitely performed better than his opponent on the final night as was pointed out by madhuri dixit.
