The issue here is what is the necessity there for a kiss..if at all they want to smooch each other they must take a hotel room for a rent rather pissing off our culture... If this culture continues tomorrow our sister and daughter will be like gulz in western countries... we are ok with that?? jus think will you agree if your sis or daughter going out for saturday night, pubs, and bar dance...

Hey you guyz are nt understanding, i am nt saying "A man should not kiss a women" rather dont do such craps in the public as it may lead our culture to something else which we dont want to .. so many second/third generation indians settled in us/uk want to come back jus because they dont want their kids to be in that non sense culture where where marriage and relationship are jus for the sake of sex.can any one honestly say they will be ok if they see their family girl with some other guy and roaming around the city .. precisly none of our indian families will be happy if their family girl or guy is doinig such things.. Think why so its because of the value of our tradition and culture.. please don't spoil it by encouraging these things..

Ok Mr. Karthic Kumar, First of all open your mind. Its not about culture here. Richard just gave her a smack on the cheer (not even a kiss). So that was nothing immoral about that. Whats immoral and degrading our society and culture is the rioting/burning . We Indians are double standard in our thoughts and deeds. Mr Karthic Kumar, do you like going for saturday parties ? Yes for sure. Then why wouldnt you let your sister do it ? Thats the 2 faced nature of us Indians.

Karthic my friend, if you are going to espouse morality and tradionalism then atleast allow youe language to be in sync with those values - its GIRLS not gulz!!! And I did not realise the Indian culture was so fragile that it could be pissed away so easily or I certainly would have taken more care and kept my viewing to Ekta Kapoor serials only - tell me, do you guys not want to go up in arms about the way they dress their bahu-beti's. If this trend continues, "tomorrow our sisters and daughters will dress like the "gulz" in the serials - are we ok with that???"
I think the whole damn thing is just thrown out of proportion. One must not forget the semi-clad heroines in movies gyrating to hot numbers. There was nothing indecent about the kiss and Shilpa herself was taken by complete surprise, even the blind would know that considering she said "yeh thoda jyada hogaya tha" after he kissed her. So what%u2019s the big issue here? And I'd like the person who has never ever committed any kind of offence or done any wrong in his/her life to raise their voice first. Come on India, don%u2019t be such hypocrites. That was to clearly show with kisses and hugs you dont get aids!

I heard that AIDS will transmit only if one already have. And it is true that AIDS won't transmit through KISSES. Now Who has the AIDS whether SHILPA or GERE. Don't talk rubbish

common folks it is better than karisma smooching amir khan in raja hindustani vani
Dear God, it was a kiss. Lighten up! Celebrities in America kiss all the time. Look at Halle Berry and Adrian Brody at the 2003 Oscars. I know that it happened in America where PDA is a little more accpetable, but people should not throw a hissy-fit about this. The world has more serious issues to deal with than having tantrums about two movie stars kiss. All I can say is "it was a clash of cultures." Leave Mr. Gere and Ms. Shetty alone!

why does this AIDS atarted and expanding..its because of these ppl like Gere and Shilpa , if ppl like them behave in right manner , then there is no need to roam across the world to tell abt AIDS.This wont happen had Indian culture is followed strictly.
They brought up the AIDS and started roamming across the world to tell how to prevent it.what a fun.

I did happen to see the video on the telly. While kiss in itself might not be objectionable, the way it was done by RG was not cultured or decent. If at all he had an honorable intention, it didn't appear a whit. If the expression was the indication, his act was every inch patently vulgar & lascivious; his contorted acrobatics to occupy SS and glue her up to him were simply repelling. And SS's defence of RG on the plea that he is our 'guest' and that he should be honorably treated is not only unacceptable but also a true exposure of the real character of SS. - ATREYA, SECUNDERABAD.
