Hate Patcy
Who is Patcy?
by Hate Patcy on Mar 12, 2006 02:07 PM

I wonder who is this Patcy. I wonder why Priyadarsan is giving interview dates with this stupid not culprit reviewer? I read his Kyon Ki review and now the Malamaal review. What is this? Such a stupid review writers. I think Rediff have these numbers as many as 10 with them. Because if you check the track record of rediff, out of 10 good films, 9 films rediff gives a very bad or negative review.

What a hate policy? If hate is rediff's way of appreciation, we hate rediff reviewers. Please tell us what we should do for rediff to stop this review column.

They are playing with the millions in film industry and distroying it.

Patcy, there are other ways you can live with, but not by these hate reveiws.

A Reader
Malamal is good
by A Reader on Mar 12, 2006 02:03 PM

Dear Readers,

Take this opinion. Don't judge a film by reviews. In the review of Malamaal weekly, you will find that Huge success of Hera Pheri is proclaimed by rediff. But, if you have read the review by Rediff, you would have say sorry to them. So is the reviews for Hungama and Hulchul. So, don't take Rediff review seriously. If you don't pay, we will hate you. How is it?

Malamal is an above average entertainer, eventhough it is not a big film. Go and watch it. It worth watching at least once.

It got some good comody here and there, though it is not an out and out comedy film. It is a good film. at any standards.

Sudha Chandran and Yadav were intended to be tyrants. I think you should read history and travel across India. Thakurs are not supposed to be tyrants. They are landlords who sometimes are bad because of the power they wield (that's when they are made famous).

.

The film has nothing worth praising????? Well, I suppose we were all idiots laughing like anything - old, young, men, women - at some idiotic goings-on in a village, right?

Hey, Patcy! Do you understand Hindi? I wonder if you actually watched the film? I did and liked it a lot. So did most of the viewers in the theatre I was in. In fact, there was a round of clapping from most of the audience at the end.

.

This is no hera pheri but it was good, clean humour. By the way, do you understand humour?

.

Who said the execution is terrible? I think the performaces were superlative. Not overdone like Amitabh, etc. Where did you see the loud performance? In fact, Indian films have a tendency to go loud in villages, something that thankfully was lacking here.

.

Rawal is the only educated one and it shows in the way he deals with situations, trying to find solutions. I wonder if you have any grey cells to comment on such a great execution of a film. The editing, cinematography, everyting is slick. It is just like in an average village/very small town in India.

.

When did Om Puri ham? He made us laugh even without sowing a tooth... that's a calibre, ma'am, in case you did not notice.

Is this a review??

The teeth being dirty needs no explainations, as there can be people in this world with teeth like that.Mam this world is not full of beautiful people.Come off the illusion and let us learn to accept the \"not so good looking\" people also (without explainations)

Not an original script
by Priya on Mar 12, 2006 02:17 AM

From reading the story in the review, this seems to be a remake of 'Waking Ned Devine'. The latter movie is a finely-executed comedy which I've watched and enjoyed many times.

This film sounds like a slightly modified version of the famous Irish film, Waking Ned Devine.
