"The words on the pots are in Prakrit, a north Indian language of the time. This tells us, says Rajan, that Kodumanal had cultural and trade contacts with the north." -- What a convenient conclusion, not to upset the Aryan invasion theory? Generally names on one's own property are written in local dialect or in mother tongue or in a language everyone in the vicinity understands.

First of all there is no aryan/dravadian. It was invention of evangelists which has been disproved by genetic study.

Oho. DO you know that the Roman world map of 2000 years ago had the Kerala port of Muziris as the farthest known port of that time for them? There is no mention of Tamil Nadu or the eastern coast of India there. Any trade from Tamil Nadu will have gone through Kerala those days - to go along with the spices trade from Kerala for which actually all those westerners came

And, do you know that there was no Kerala or Malayalam at that time? It was all a larger Tamil nation with Tamil being the business language in the whole of what is now Tamilnadu and Kerala. Read the article properly. They used both Muziris (west coast) and Poompuhar (east coast) for trade. Get a life Mallu... The history of Kerala is not just the last 800-1000 years.

No it was the able leader of Smt. Soniaji, Shri. Mamohanji and Shri Rahulji that this industrial town disappeared out of the bloom (like India is disappearing). Had it not been for their able efforts along with Shri Dalit Rajaji, this industrial would have been still flourishing.
