True, we have been using pots and now plastic drums to purify water for years and all the ingrediants are free.
Same process is used by the water companies but in larger scale.
AND IT IS SO EASY. EVEN A CHILD CAN DO IT.

Water purifier launched by TATA group.
by Ahi Sen on Jul 01, 2010 09:40 PM  | Hide replies

Even in areas like Jaadavpur, Kolkata supply of safe drinking water is a point of political campaign as people are yet to get supply of Garden reach water. Those who can afford are buying 20ltr water jars of drinking water. Others cross the Raja SC Mallick Road to collect water from road side taps. If TATAs can supplu water purifiers at a cheaper rate here it would get good market.

Much better idea than Nano
by waste cricket on Jul 01, 2010 09:36 PM  | Hide replies

This innovation by Tatas is much better than Nano, as this would benefit crores and crores of people suffering from water borne diseases as this is affordable to many of them(provided if they have water availabilty first).

Congrats to Tatas

Good that purifiers will be affordable to a lot of people. But then most other things which come cheap are worth scrap.

Your friend is lucky. My brother is lucky too, as he could save himself and his wife from fire coming from Nano.

TN will be the last. Because only thing that makes brisk sales in TN are 'sarayam' packets and masal vada. Your MRTS is a failure, Metro will be a failure.. too

AC buses are a failure..
