Ban higher denomination currency notes
by Sikandar on Feb 20, 2010 11:32 AM  Permalink

1) Higher denomination currency is the symbol of black money. Almost all black transactions involving huge amounts are settled with higher denomination notes. If a Rs 500/- note is banned volume of notes would be five times and that for a 1000/- rupee note it would be ten times. This would create problems for the corrupt in their transactions.
2) Alongwith this there shud be a ban on cash transactions. Say any cash transaction above Rs 5000/- shud be made thru cheque or dd or electronic transfer. Banks and ATMs shud be instructed not to allow anyone to withdraw cash more than 5000 at any given time.
I m sure the government won't do this. Shud they do it they wont last even for a day and also they will loose the elections as they wont have any money to distribute amonst the slums.

THE REFORM MUST START FROM THE PUBLIC FIRST
by Vascado on Feb 20, 2010 11:01 AM  Permalink

It is the general public who must get reformed before criticizing the Politician because the Politicos have not jumped from the moon, they come from amidst us and represent our characteristics at large. If the public become less corrupt, naturally it will put pressure on the politicians too to reform themselves.

Corruption
by Deepu Ravindran on Feb 20, 2010 10:53 AM  Permalink

Following things need to be done to eradicate corruption in our society.

1. Stop election funds raising and check on the spending on elections. The person elected should be there because of their merits and not becasue of their money and once the that happens the lower order will automatically fall in place.
2. Using information and techology, all the govt proceeding should be made transparent. Once that is done no official will ever think of corruption.
3. Literacy. To take the eradication of corruption to grassroot level, literacy is needed. Much needs to be done to make the people literate and aware of their rights.

Above all there should be political will to make India one of the best place to live.

First of all every public person i.e., Peon to PM, has to declare the list of kith and kin along with there assets and holdings. If any person entered the list of kith and kin has declare immediately. Every year some vigilance proceedings should be carried out. And property rates to be assessed as per market value. Stringent funishment should be introduced for law brakers.
