Ban higher denomination currency notes
by Sikandar on Feb 20, 2010 11:32 AM

1) Higher denomination currency is the symbol of black money. Almost all black transactions involving huge amounts are settled with higher denomination notes. If a Rs 500/- note is banned volume of notes would be five times and that for a 1000/- rupee note it would be ten times. This would create problems for the corrupt in their transactions.
2) Alongwith this there shud be a ban on cash transactions. Say any cash transaction above Rs 5000/- shud be made thru cheque or dd or electronic transfer. Banks and ATMs shud be instructed not to allow anyone to withdraw cash more than 5000 at any given time.
I m sure the government won't do this. Shud they do it they wont last even for a day and also they will loose the elections as they wont have any money to distribute amonst the slums.
