Adam bit the apple and fell from grace; hope history does not repeat. Perhaps a new name will benefit the product. Otherwise the company will have to face many jibes.

Still something is better than nothing. Atleast they have made efforts to make a Indian version and comparitively cheaper rates than the Apple ipad.
i wish him all the success and luck. Their way of thinking regarding improving our contrymen's lives is really appriciable. Keep up guys....Peoplelike you are truely the pride of the nation.
apple and Microsoft products are ahead of everyone mainly due to their marketing strategy. so u guys need to do a lot and tricky marketing to make ppl aware of ur products or create brand. other than regular brands nwdays ppl think every new company and new electronic device as chinees and dont worry abt quality but expect very low price. u need to first make sure wher u fit and do marketting accordingly.
Basically, this is what is lacking in India: Grass roots innovation, this does not need IIT education. It can come from any person in any remote village in India provided he is given the exposure.
What we need our students to grasp is a love of a certain field from a young age and its pursuit in a gradual manner over the years.
Education is not 4 or 5 years of IIT, it is a gradual process of 10-15 years which can come to the patient student in a field of his choice, it could be science or math or social projects or art or design.

What you say Vishnu is very true. But I would like to add a tragic fact of India : after 10-15 years of patient study, if a student cannot get admission to a medical/Engg/other college in spite of scoring 90 % because he is not from a "backward caste", then the next recourse is to run to foreign shores like US or UK. So heart-rending that our laws and politicians are all geared to selfish ends. In India, talent hardly matters...Caste, Capitation fees, Favoritism.....these are the devils we worship.

Even if the same person scores 95% and gets admission to medical/Engg/other college, he will leave to foreign shores like US or UK after finishing studies.

Patient study does not mean study geared towards examinations.
It means study based on furthering your knowledge in the subject without having the pressure of attending exams.
A inventor is a person who has the fundamentals right and can think out of the box.
Our education system must be geared towards producing such inventions.
Take TV design for example. How many Indians are out there who want to start out today with a company which wants to be world Number one in OLED based Televisions ?
You do not need IIT education to do this. It requires your own self driven study and research.
Just because you could not get into an engineering college does not mean the subject has closed its doors to you.
If you are interested and geared towards R&D and problem solving, you WILL drive your self forward no matter how hard the obstacles.
I wish him success. and appeal govt. to support him for his innovation and make his life comfortable ( secure corporate threats and stupid taxes). so that he doesn't leave this country with his ideas. ( like other stupid useless iit engr. community who have already settled in us and making them proud)
our iitans are always inovative.india in past has produced a lot of wonders. so guys dont give up i really wish u a good luck to beat the monopoly of apple.
