What an excuse by TATA. have you ever thought being in the auto manufacturing that VW beatle has rear engine air cooled engine and has never caught fire till date. the argument is rubbish and nano is no good a car worth the money spent.
When maruti 800 AC car runs on road with AC switched on, if ac is working and car is in jamm for 20-25 min Maruti 800 car stops automatically then how nano can survive in summer.

I don't think TATAs have anything to do with Nandigram. The NANO plant was to be set up in Singur.

Mamta in Bengal and Achu in kerala want to take on the giant TATA to show the world they are not afraid of anyone. But in the mele nana plant in Bengal and may be in Kerala the Munnar TATA tea plantation may be lost and thousands would loose their livelihood. So what? In Alleppy in Kerala and in many other places where the Communist party ruled and rules industries and fatories have been closed down. If you do not play their tune they are so tough-THEY WILL CUT THEIR NOSE TO SPITE YOU, So there>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> beware!!!

Kumar, I am no expert on this matter but if you have seen any volvo or any bus they have air vents at the back for circulation of air but I think Tata Nano does not have any such vents because of the dicky(boot) hence the heating of the engine.
if the experts say it is the problem of rear engine and the summer season then most of the autorikshaws in india have rear engine people are travelling in them throughout the year.is it unsafe for them? till now i have not heard of any autorikshaw catching fire. experts must find the real reason and then give any comment.

When you try to economise the Quality suffers invariably. Would MaRuti use the same materials to make as Benz does in their cars? Or Nano use the same as they do in their high end models....unlikely no????

Amit, I did not see a Tata Nano but I assume the problem for a car compared to an auto is that it has a boot(dicky) which restricts the circulatiuon of air. But if you have seen an auto there are vents at the back of the auto for this same purpose. This is my observation only. I am no expert.

Well, anybody can comment just like that. But did you acheive anything in this world? If so then you would not write like this. May be Nano is not up to the mark. But come on man.... to err is human. But to rectify and accept it is important and I am sure that Tata's will do it professionaly. FYI ... I am not a Tata Supporter...
