It is only you who thinks tht way. Don't forget George Sudarshan from India did not get Nobel although his discoveries later led to Noble for two other Americans! Pity is that you try to communalise everything and forget Indianness. If that were the case, C. V Raman should never have got this prize. There are more Hindu Abel Prize holders ( mathematics Nobel equivalent) in America than any other. please stop all these things and support every Indian regardless their faiths!

No Amartya SEn was born in Shantiniketan, India and his name "Amartya" was given by Shri Rabindra Nath Tagore(the Indian nobel loriet for literature)
I m looking forward to the day when an indian 'born, brought up, educated and engaged in research activity' in India bags the award. It will be then a true reflection of our might as a nation in the forefront of knowlege based economy. Till then we may have to just satisfy ourselves with these type of news.

Irish, I am truly with your opinion when Indian Education will start producing such brains only then we feel proud receiving Nobel Award. Indian Education need more professionalism.

Day Dreams are good bt sometime you have to be serios buddy..Its a matter of national pride is emptomizing those who left country for good( their) and then its time for India(n) to find somethng to talk abt...Yeh wala na apne yaha ka hai type...

Well, it's interesting isn't it, that none of the three actually work in India. Indians seem to shine only when they are "protected" from their fellow-Indians. It's the cliched Indian crab-like mentality that prevents anything spectacular happening in Indian Institutes.
