Railway Station is Gateway of any Town/City
by jp madvaiya on Feb 26, 2007 03:23 PM  | Hide replies

Every Railway Station is Gateway of any Town/City, but all of them have very-very ugly-nasty-dirty and filled with abnoxus smell of open toilets by the nearby users, just from the home signal to the Rly Stn.This senerio can be changed if Rly think of converting these pieces of land for the cultivation of Flowers. The temporary leases be awarded to the people on rental for growing Flowers from outer/home signal to Railway Stations. The passengers will have pleasant look, trespassing by the open-toilet users be checked, the rental income will accrue and the Rly will have freight earning through quick transportation of flowers to the metropolitans and abroad. Please think of it. Every body by this plan will get the advantage.

Looks a nice budget but it is to be seen whether any changes takes place on the ground level. The question is that what is the reqruirement of decrease the fare just for the sake of show off.

Rail budget need more focus
by dhiru kumar on Feb 26, 2007 03:18 PM

Mr. Lalu

the issues which need attention urgently are

First passenger safety and security, second issue must be of renewing of tracks whereever needed, faster trains( 200-250 kms) plying like other countries (China and japan)in more routes

More trains in the places where people travel in crowded trains, faster tracks must be laid in more routes.
