by harsha hs on May 10, 2013 12:02 PM

Corruption Can never be erased....it can only be decreased that too it takes generations. Its all in people ethics, culture , Honesty and hardwork. Skip th ecurrent generation(Already spoilt) and try to fill in these values in your children....may be after two generation you might see less corruption.

Civil Disobidience is required by Civil Servants
by Pradip Rabindranath on May 10, 2013 11:52 AM

The IAS have the power and wherewithal to stop corruption in their tracks. We dont have much choice of politicians - it's between the thief, pickpocket and the rowdy. But given the background of Civil Service aspirants, they can take a collective stance and stonewall corruption.

But these guys dont join IAS for it's job satisfaction and service to humanity; they join this service to misuse their power and gain wrongfully! Looking at them with awe and fear is a colonial hangover; what we have allowed them to do in the last 60 years has to be looked contemptuously.

India is a land of professional exam writers; we bestow Impunity and Godly Status to the ones who clear these highly questionable exercise.

Make every govt. deptt, accountable and decide all civil cases in 3 years time and criminal in one year-just see only genuine corruption will remain.

No! Make all government processes and transactions transparent by putting the paper work of these processes and transactions on a government website!

This may or may not end corruption but it will definitely put bania people out of business!

Got to give credit to you for being partly honest!

BTW, how does one make and keep black money?

You have to bribe to keep the black money!

So black money = corrupt money!

Wrong, black money is money on which taxes are not paid, it is earned money-civil suit-no crime. whereas corrupt money is without any effort-easy money-only hanging.

But you still need to do illegal things to make black money!

How come the people who work in salaried jobs don't have black money?

about corruption ??
by Gajanan Inamdar on May 10, 2013 11:30 AM

true it is about corruption, but the power / chair corrupts man, the system would compel you to be one of the corrupt man. It is hard to be out of system. being a IAS or any Higher Official you will receive 100 works, out of which 99 will give you bribe, then what ? it is the system and everybody wants to do his work by hook or crook, if you will not do it (take the bribe) they will try another option.

The Govt should be the salve of people and and not the master of them , The freedom to earm money and spend the money the way one wants and to hold property and the econmoic freedom on which all our other freedoms depend . So in true sense the Indian Govt is the Master of people and not the slave , you will not find such curropt and ineffecient Bureacracy in any part of the world the German Gvot has a full report of the Same , IPS and IAS are merely tools in the hands to achieve poltical ends these people cannot accomplaish any thing they dont contribute to the progress of the country at all they .The IAS and IPS coaching centers croping up in New delhi are makeing salevs
