There will be more U-turns my friend in the coming 5 years.

Even after 6 months, no work has been done to avoid another 26/11.

As I said many times before, Indians have voted themselves to live with terror and corruption for another 5 years.

Bring Back the Black Money
by ram khanna on May 26, 2009 02:32 PM  | Hide replies

One of the promises made by the prime minister was also to bring back the black money in first 100 days. LK Advani should dare the government to do so and if it fails launch a nationwide campaign to force the Govt. to do so. This is the only way BJP can redeem itself as a worthwhile opposition. While ministers can afford to sit and relax, that is why Mamta is taking no chances against left. BJP should get back in mass agitation mode on issues of public interest. Otherwise it will finished in next 1000 days. Should i start counting now? 999, 998, 997 and so on

MMS is stii a Kid in indian politics
by DHANANJAY KULKARNI on May 26, 2009 02:32 PM

Its not corporate world that MMS should quickly learn. All the UPA allies & ministers will be too busy in felicitations/Satkar-Samaroh that for next 100 they may not even turn to their offices for some serious work.
Let alone showing some performance.
He has just tasted how Karuna/DMk took 1 week to get convinced.

100 DAY DEADLINE!
by Ganesh Bangera on May 26, 2009 02:31 PM

In an era of COALITION govt.forming Cabinet & allocating portfolios is not an easy job as SHARKS of all political colours are just wanting to grab creamy job.Under the circumstances,I think it is fair that we give benefit of doubt to PM for the delay in forming the Cabinet. If any of his ministers fail to deliver as promised,PM should remove them at the end of 100 days, which of course may not be an easy job.I think, the best way is to wait & see what happens within the next few days.If nothing happens, what ordinary people like us can do except to wait for change of govt until next elections?
BUT let us hope for the best as PM is very sensitive about developmental issues, except that he has partners like DMK,whereby his hands are tied.

Wake Up My Dear Indians!!!
by a g on May 26, 2009 02:31 PM  | Hide replies

It's not a matter of being a BJP wallah or a non-congress wallah. Neither is it that PM promised paradise in 100days. Nor is it will govern the country for the next 5 years. The point here is, people have reposed faith in a party that has never delivered for the past 6 decades. Are Indians brainless? Don't they have any thinking power to analyze what's good and what's bad for them? Have they lost their power to ponder on things to take a prudent decision in the quagmire of problems amidst them? Why are people falling for such clueless and listless parties & leaders who do not deliver in their tenure of 5 years but promise the moon in just 100 days!!! Will India and Indians ever wake up from this fantasy? Will India ever have the revolution similar to renaissance that Europe experienced? Will the intellecutals of the country ever come to the fore beating the corrupt and the rogue people who are dominating the political scenes? Several questions arise as you shudder to think the fate of India!!! India will remain in a deep shit as long as the people of India do not apply their mind and think emotionally and decide. Wake up Indians and give India what it deserves!!!

I started believing that NDTV is nothing more than a pro-congress TV where they keep praising congress and Rahul and there is nothing more that in it. I don't see them analysing on anyother aspect. For the Mumbai attack intially they were against Congress and changed drastically and started blaming BJP for it..what is that means..a pure crack..? I don't know that my opinion prob u may ahave diff.

India happens to be one of the very few major countries in the world whose dominant media is controlled directly or indirectly by foreigners. The usurpation of control has actually been by Americans, much of it through surrogates of evangelical organisations that are in fact quasi-government agencies. Paradoxically, Leftist Indian political parties supposedly hostile to a US presence in India have been subdued with alacrity by these quasi-state religious agencies, which have been operating effectively in other parts of the world as well. In Latin America, where liberation theology offered succour to the poor, the very same neo-fascist, American evangelical organisations, working in conjunction with the US State Department and intelligence services, ousted them. In India, most English language media outlets, are, in effect, vying with each other to accelerate the fragmentation of India in consonance with Anglo-American goals.

The alleged oppression of minorities is the political bridgehead that modern evangelical organisations have entrenched in the public consciousness, relentlessly distorting its reality and using it ruthlessly to fuel discontent within India. By deliberately misrepresenting the Godhra communal riots as genocide, though both communities suffered, the media has gleefully incited Islamic terrorist attacks against Hindus and harsh international condemnation of India. As a corollary, the rise of the BJP inspired them to equate mundane nationalist aspirations with the oxymoron of Hindu extremism. Yet, there is resounding silence on the role of the minority community in providing succour to Islamic terrorism through vote bank politics and concealment from attention

the reason for the bais isNDTV:

Funded by Gospels of Charity in Spain. Supports Communism. Recently it has developed a soft corner towards Pakistan because the Pakistan President has allowed only this channel to be aired in Pakistan. Indian CEO Prannoy Roy is co-brother of Prakash Karat, Gen Secy of Communist party of India.

I am not a BJP or any partyman .I am looking for good governance , which I am sure is too much to expect .What they speak before the elections and what they do afterwords have no link . A ploitican is a politican - does not matter which party it is ! The youg generation only difference - they are well educated , intelligent - device new ways to loot and also plug all loop holes so they will not get caught. They are better communicators .
Cynical and Pessimistic - Right - what else you can say to truth. How does it matter which ministry you are in - if service is motto .No there are juicy minstries where the scope is high - see the dogfight.

Go ask the CAG, why are you blaming somebody who has written the truth.

in the whole article there is no pin pointing of dmk ,its just has a passing mention of the tactics.why you have taken it to heart, shows how much it is aching.
just imagine how much it must be for the others when they get to know that the money to lay roads between their towns and villages have been scientifically swindled, for buying more ships and port contracts ,for family betterment not even for party men.

Possibly TVR Shenoy is biased...but I am surprised at the anarchy in baalu's ministry...only thing he was supposed to do in that was to keep the foot on the padle of the vehicle (NHAI work) which was already running at break-neck speed.....but he slammed the emergency break instead...poor show by all accounts!

Economy, Industry
by Concerned Industrialist on May 26, 2009 02:25 PM  | Hide replies

are crying for help from the government. But, UPA is busy playing politics.

Input costs for the industry are the highest in India, Manmohan Singh is going back on his own words in 1991 when he initiated his reforms.

I supported Congress all my life, however, when my business went into a tailspin into the myriad of taxes created by these looters, I realized my folly.

C Rajgopalachari was right when he severely criticized the Congress for adopting a more left leaning attitude since Independence.

Congress is anti Industry, pro corruption.

Ask any SME industrialist and they will tell you how they have suffered at the hands of the Congress.

Only differance big guys like reliance can afford if not they can get the shooed some remote place who demands for doing his job.Sick.My father used to be a congress man , he used to help mayors of the city in writing the speeches , sit congress offices etc .Before his dealth once a congress team came to our houdse and said "Sirs , vote is surely for conress " Dad replied " Anyone witha brain will not vote for Congress" That si the stock.
