You say its laughable, but you are not laughing. You seems to be embarassed, rather frustrated. Isn't it.
Mr. Advani instead of introspecting about your party's failure in the elections you are attributing congress's gain to the poor show by the left and parties of the third front. I want to ask you why are you not accepting defeat gracefully. Your party is on a declining trend from 143 seats in the previous lok sabha elections to 116 in the 2009 elections. If your party does not change its attitude and arrogance then your party will be reduced to even less than 100 seats in the next lok sabha elections. Hope you and your party will change its image and attitute.

I agree with you. True 3rd Front and commies lost. But why did BJP not gain those seats? This is what BJP should think about. Not offer lame excuses as offered by Advani.
If they do not introscpect, it will happen again next time.
Advani's silence over expressing innocence about Kandhar issue projected his image in a wrong way.No BJP leader could raise issues of price hike, slow down and terrorism effectively.I found their spokesmen Ravishankar Prasad and Javdekar ineffective during debates over TV.Arun Jaitly who is effective among the others kept himself out of the main stream. Congress's Kapil Sibbal,Manish tiwari were very aggressive during debates. There is no first line or second line of leadership in BJP. Though this party raise from 2 to 116 but this is not sufficient to form a government. They should raise real issues and not fake ones like Ram Temple to make people fool.

I agree with you Mr Rajeev.BJP's main objective is to come to power effortlessly. If you really see its a rotten party with no alternative other than ADVANI and VAJPAYEE.
The problem with BJP is they are still not taking the ownership of getting defeated in the LS elections. It cannot be a coincidence that state after state has voted for UPA. Advani can see but cannot accept the reasons for loosing. Criticising the PM, letting the likes of Modi and Varun cut loose before elections, raking up irrelevant issues like "Weak PM" were some of them.To hurt them the most even Hindus and urban voters did not vote for them. Instead of analysing others success and failures Advani should focus his energies on his party.
Media did not highlight the issues and played into the hands of Congress in diverting attention from real issues. 1) Subversion of democracy 2) Favoring the Rich by SEZ etc 3) Black Money 4) No internal democracy 5) Corruption in allies, TR Baalu, A raja
Media is worse than politicians, they are hunting with the hounds and running with the hare

day in and day out, I see all media houses reporting on the family politics of DMK. Are you blind ?
before election ,BJP should have made commitment about the , making of roads ( privatisation of national higways ) / day & linking of rivers , compulsary educations for all, these are the main points which can lift the country. JAGDISH ARORA
All that BJP got was 18% votes - if you read LKA's comments, you'd think they got 35% votes or something. Its hardly a two-party system when the party finishing 2nd gets only 18% votes.
Why MMS was not given a Loksabha ticket is a mystery. It is also an insult to the democratic traditions. Earlier, if someone beccame PM, without being a Loksabha member, he used to stand for election after resigning from Rajya Sabha. But not only MMS remained PM for 5 yrs without being a member of Loksabha, he was not even given a ticket for this election.
