Now it is clear that Sudhir Kumar did the turn around. Speak to Sudhir Kumar he explains what all steps he truly took it to bring in those changes. What you said is half of the story? As soon as Laloo became RM, Bihar assembly election was due, laloo never came to Rail Bhavan for 1 1/2 years, he was busy in bihar election and drama after that. Dr. Kalam was manipulated to hold the election again in bihar.

All these officers have always been there. It took a Lalu to turn things around which the brahmin lobby is not able to digest and is trying to hijack the credit.

such intelligent person of Bihar... what has he done for his State? Took away the fodder of the animals and made them starve! He cannot see beyond his family. So Rabdi becomes CM. And see how she talked about Nitish? Bihar is doomed with such leaders. Look at the CMs of other states. And their contribution. Bihar gets what they deserve. Thats why many of the Biharees, including Jhanda, are outside Bihar.

You are right. His intelligence is a creation of the Media, which he has cultivated very well.
Most people and particularly the self styled know all 'Financial Wizards' are ignorant of Railways and try to degrade Lalu because he is not a 'Brahmin'.
The truth known to people inside Railways is that 'Lalu' was a daring leader who made revolutionary changes in the 'Marketing' outlook of Railways completely.
In the process 'Lalu' managed to completely wipe out large scale corruption from the system and criminal cartel operating in the system. 1. Lalu allowed loading wagons to their top limits of 64 tonnes resulting in complete eradication of bribery to 'Goods Clerks'. The Iron ore transporting Rich 'Criminal cartel' with the involvement of BJP top guns was busted. 2. Lalu ensured the implementation of 'Mini Rake' scheme, with the Railways raking in a huge profits. 3. Lalu opened the avenues of advertisement on board and in the vast estates owned by Railways. 4. Lalu used technology to the fullest potential in bringing in 'Tatkal' and putting to use IRCTC to rake in huge profits to the nation.
Those are the few of his hundreds of reformations in Railway that is considered by 'Top Management Institutes' worldwide.
The way he kicked 'Varun Gandhi' and his supporters in their own way is enough to show how good a corporate leader 'Lalu' is. He is a stronger man for the criminal (viz., Varun) while one among the weak and oppressed.
In fact I won't be surprised if Lalu becomes the 'Prime Minister' this time around. And under Lalu, India could benefit a lot.

Yeah dude, You made the correct statement - he is a stronger man for criminals. As he himself is one, he will stand by all criminals like a rock. And what have you said about some kick on varun & supporters ? ha ha ha , dude, once the election is over you will see your so called railways magician behind bars. Its only not to give him any sympathetic advantage that Nitish govt hasnt arrested him on the remarks he made againt Varun. You just wait and see after May 16, you will see him not in the parliament as PM but but in Tihar jail.

To say that Laloo turned railways around is the most cruel joke on the face of a common indian - who uses railways often. Only those experts who sits in the AC cabin of their office and only plays with the figures will make such a statement. Just look at the ground reality and then comment. The main reason for increase in railways profit is due to high amount of tatkal allocation for which a common man needs to pay rs.300 more. To get a normal ticket now a days has become that difficult that everyone turns to tatkal which gives railways more money, their profit - common man's loss. Then another thing laloo did was to introduce one more cruel joke - side middle berth. Only if someone travels in that fashion would understand the pain. Its not only difficult for the person traveling on that berth, but it makes other passengers lives miserable as this passenger has to be accomodated in the existing room for sitting. Result - extra passengers and more profit for railways - suffering for common 'aam aadmi' man. With crores of profit/reserves what has railways done for the common passenger ? his miserable travel conditions continues. He gets dirty compartments with rats & cokroaches. He gets the same dirty toilets at times with no water. He gets the same low quality food. In the last five budgets lalloo has put fwd he mentioned bullet train thrice, but in reality its just in the books. I wonder what has people seen other than these reality to shower praises on this manipulator.

Right. To make the Tatkal joke more cruel, Laloo just extended many of the Trains, so you end up paying even more for Tatkal Tickets.
Amenities are just for the Railway Minister. Last year, he transferred some top Officials from Bangalore (Punishment transfer) as they did not ensure that Laloo got food served at the Temperature that he wanted. Ofcourse, the transfers were later cancelled.

acontigent of people from Bihar were found without tickets in the south. When they were confronted they said, we are from Bihar and Railway Minister Laloo is from Bihar. So no ticket needed for them

May I ask how much kilometers electricfication was done / passed in laloo's tenure. What is the difference of percentage given earlier & now for railway electricfication. Earlier the allocation of funds were more than the profit earned by railways now for electrification. Electricfication was now on back seat and railwasys saved that money and showed profits. As far as IIM is concerned only laloo or IIM knows who managed whom. Whether it is Minister who managed the show or IIM who managed minister for mutual benefits.

Laloo Prasad Yadav is not a joker. Of course, he is not a professor, though he has a doctorate in fodder technology and corrupt practices. Mr.Yadav is a practical Indian politician with deep belief and conviction in political malpractices. He became Railway Minister, by paying a heavy purse to Congress, only to avoid fodder scam. Such people are sure to survive and thrive, especially when our people,in general, have become corrupt.
Eating Fodder meant for cattle and looting Bihar for 15 years and establishing Junglee Raj. Support to businesses such as looting, kidnapping rather than job creating industries in states making bihar one of the poorest state. Godfather for convicted criminals like Shahabuddin. goondagardi and extorntion by a goonda like Sadhu Yadav & all Unflinching support to SIMI and terrorists. Making his son a member of bihar cricket team after becoming president of cricket board. Getting his daughter a rank in medical. Appointing Banerjee comision to claim that Karsevaks comited suicide in Godhra train carnage just before Bihar Polls. Enjoying Prison hospitality for his crimes Lalu organized Maoists to launch a raid on Jehanabad prison killing many people

Absolutely true. Laaloo should visit the loo in a train at least once to see the pathetic condition. Also, nowadays, the compartments are full of cockroaches, ants, rats etc. Nobody to clean the compartments.

You have pointed the grievances rightly but I see several reasons behind it. unmanageable population, unequal growth of states which forces large number of migrations and lack of discipline of fellows who are supposed to provide service. The basic concenpt of SERVICE is missing. But what I feel, that one man can not improve entire population which lacks descipline both from service provider ( IR) to passenger who many times destroy railway property , cutting cussioned seats. We are far away from a developed nations with manageable population.
