Have we all lost our sense common courtsey and decency?
by Amused Commentator on Apr 29, 2009 10:48 AM  Permalink

A general browse through any of the news items in this site brings forth comments in the hundreds. And a very high percentage of these are scatological, abuse, parochial, indecent, biased and plain stupid.

Have we all lost our sense of decency? Of the unwritten rules of argument, of respecting another's views? Do we have only below the belt comments available? Is this the level of education and bringing up that is generic? And we hold the politicians responsible for all the ills that beset our country!

It is distressing.

Unfortunately the two major factors to come into power today in India are :
a) Secularism or psuedo-secularism
b) Regional Parties.
On Psuedo-secularsim Congress scores over BJP and is always acceptable to all parties eyeing the muslim vote. The most fascinating thing about Congress and Left parties is that Congress is the main opponent to Left in the states WB & Kerala who are the only states held by Left. Inspite of the above, they support each other at the centre in the name of secularism.
We then have the regional parties who take their pound of flesh for supporting any party Congress or BJP at the centre weakening the central Govt. As long as the above factors keep influencing the elections, we cannot have a strong Govt.

TARODADO.We should ensure 100% Vote in favour of BJP. Voters of any gender-Male & Female should go to the polling booth just starting the voting in the Morning of the DATE OF VOTING with their Voter Id cards & any other Identification Card as per rules of EC. Turnover of the Vote casting should be not less than 80 to 85%.Female voters must caste their vote so that percentage of vote shall rise. Also to ensure that Votes are casted in favour of BJP.

The voting system
by mohammed ulhaq on Apr 29, 2009 10:41 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

the voting system has to be changed, we have got the independence 62 yrs ago but still following the left alones of british government. When we all know that this system is not working then lets change the entire system this way, whoever declares to be the wealthiest (Ofcourse in white money) person should be eligible to contest. By doing this every MLA will declare his black money and will convert to white which in turn will enable business man to contest and define rules to bring the economy in a better shape. Give a thought you dumb Indian public (I am part of it as well).

Level too law
by VB S on Apr 29, 2009 10:38 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Our polititians have brought down the level of politics to the lowest level. They say what suits them and act very-2 funny. That is the reason that image of these people is bad in the eyes of people. They should think about it. People are looking a healthy debate and would like to understand what a particular party is offering but all of them are try to avoid this and getting into dirty war of worlds. This is highly unfortunate.

What about the Congress that sold our country?
And what is wrong in selling a fraud hotel that claims to be a 5-star hotel? It is a humilation that hotels such as the Ashok, Centaur and Janpath are called 5-star when a local 1 start hotel is better than these in terms of cleanliness. None of the staff wants to work, just sit and enjoy the government salary.
If a loss making firm is divested, and if someone else is able to run it profitably, what is the problem? Have you seen the Grand Ashok in Bangalore now? Have you seen how it was 6 years ago when run by Indian Govt?

we need visionaries who can lead us. Media should be more proactive and non biased and initiate a thought process in the common man which is compensated by showing some junk and irresponsibly glorifying politicians like Laloo who can never understand or dream a big picture of India as a nation.

Do not vote.... lets have President rule for 5 years
by Anuj Tiwari on Apr 29, 2009 10:35 AM  Permalink

I guess we are not too much worried what will happen to our nation because of the "Chalta hai" attitude.
I guess we should have president rule for 5 years and then we should compare the outcome of both the rulling types then we can think what is right for the country.
If in president rule our country perform in similar manner then their should be much worry who will be the PM
