whether they want a real government in power with a mundane mandate or a make-shift government with too much of patchwork and too much of artificial shine.
This is a great article. there should be several such other articles similarly exploring the various other aspects like the judicial rights, constitutional rights, POTA, and so on.
the news that the union cabinet has advised the President to dissolve the parliament for holding early elections reminds me of Deve Gowda, one of our Prime ministers who famously, said, during a debate in paliament that sita ram Kesri ,the then congress president, was a old man in a hurry. Our Prime minister is also in the same league, both in terms of age and the hurry that he has shown in dissolving the parliament. I feel that the BJP has misread the situation and seems to gave got afflicted with a feeling of euphoria as a result of its victory in three states which went to the polls in the recent past along with Delhi where the BJP had to face defeat.Haste makes waste, is an axiom that is quite appropriate in this context and one can predict without hesitation that the ruling dispensation is not going to get majority in the 14th parliament and once again it will be back to Khichri politics.
give some more explicit examples along with the constitutinal rights for a citizen of india. i wish you, to continue this write-ups covering other details pertaining to elections and election commission,
you have wrongly mentioned that the rajya sabha has a six-year term.
actually, the rajya sabha does not have a term and runs perennially.
a certain number of its members retire and round the year on completing their six year term. this process continues year after year and as such there is no 'fixed term' for rajya sabha.
do you think that the income and the expenditure presented by the earlier govt. are correct and if we want to see the balance sheet of the country how do i get it from where. Also if any party politically want to dissolve the lok sabha in between for their interest by making the environment in their favour is it correct to do.
