Dissolution of Parliament
by kedar chikhalikar on Jan 29, 2004 02:59 PM

I fail to understand that why a stable government mandated to rule the country for five years is dissolving the lok sabha prematurely. This is westage of public money . Why no one is putting a PIL in Supreme court and preventing this dissolution of LS.I think the government should complete the full term of 5 years. this will give a bad precedent and must not be allowed.

It is not 542 'Lok Sabha seat' ...but 542 parliament seats including both Lok Sabha & Rajya Sabha. Be exact when you are giving 'insights' into the process.

Actually it is 542 seats just for lok sabha u could addup the number of seats from each state.and u'd know that Rajya Sabha doesnt have anything like a party represenatation. But they still ask for 273 seats for forming a govt.Actually i agree the figures are wrong they should be 545 seats which i m not sure including or excluding the 2 anglo indian seats, who get opted by the president.
