MSD was & will always remain a true warrior , a true match winner & fearless natural leader . His cool headed approach , his rational decision taking ability , his capability to handle pressure situations , his ability to read the game & act , his strategies were absolute phenomenal . Just look at his ability to rotate the strike which is very important in 50 overs game , just see his running between wickets , his stumpings with lightening speed . Even opponent team players use to get stunned , that how we lost the game so quickly from a comfortable situation ??
Now he must continue upto WC 19 . Its not easy for anyone to step into MSD's big shoes . Viraat , no doubt is excellent but now will be over burdened with captainship of all the three formats . Do we have keeper batsman who can replace MSD ?? NO , we do not have - - SIMPLE - -

BawliBooch Budiya, you started with a lie that you are not a blind MSD fan L0L
At last Dhoni decided to resign from captaincy. Even though it is too late, now atleast young keepers will get a chance. Now he may be a great captain & good player. But his recent performance is not upto the mark. Hence it is better for him to resign from playing cricket. If the bowler or batsman is a captain then there are so many bowlers or batsman to replace. But this is not in the case of Keepers. There is only keeper in the team. If he is a captain & plays for so many years then there is no chance for other keepers. Dinesh Karthik played only as a batsman, not as a keeper, because Dhoni is there. Now all these Parthiv Patel, Wridhman Saha, Karthik, Ojha, not got the chance at the young age. Now they are above 30years. At least Kohli has got a chance to lead the side at a early age. So it will be a good experience to lead the side before WC. He is capable of winning the WC. All the best to Kohli.
Dhoni has stepped down as captain allowing Virat to captain all forms of the game. This would turn Virat into an even better leader. At the same time we will continue to have the greatest keeper India ever produced.

Absolutely true buddy . It is clear to him that his bosses are no longer running the show.So good thinking on his part to step down . Anyway thanks for leading the team to a successful unit . As for someone mentioning that he was the greatest keeper India has produced, i completely disagree with it.

He is no doubt the best Indian wicket keeper ever produced. It's his batting prowess plus his keeping abilities and good cricketing brain has made him the player to reckon with. His powerful batting with cool head was admired by his opponents. It is he who made the tail enders stronger and on several ocassions have finished the matches on his own and while doing so has created a record of remaining not out and scoring the winning run. What more you expect from a wicket keeper like him . In his absence a void will be formed difficult to be replaced with.
