It is a fact

Srinivasan is factually right. Our No.1 status was achieved only because we played maximum tests at Home or Home like conditions.
Well done,Srinivasan Sir,you have spoken the truth, which always is bitter.

What is wrong in that ? What is the record of Australia,England in foreign soil. They got drubbings and win only in their homeland. So India loosing in Australia is a normal thing as all test playing nations of late only won in their backyards only.

Do you know the histroy of Cricket or current trend?

Aus visited SA in Nov11 and Won a test and drew the series along with ODI series win. And when NZ visited Aus in Dec11, NZ won a test against Aus. But only Ind could't perform in foreigns.

businessmen must not run cricket
by ranjit roy on Jan 17, 2012 12:57 AM

it was too good to last. from the time dhoni took over till the 2011 WC, most of the cricket that india played was in the subcontinent. when they started touring england and australia, they were exposed. lack of rest after the world cup, IPL, aging cricketers, and businessmen administrators are to blame.

when non-cricketing businessmen take over the administration or cricket, they only see the bucks - everything else is secondary. since BCCI controls world cricket, these cricketing czars see money in 20-20 which will be promoted at all levels including film stars

the only way for test cricket to be given the kiss of life in india is to get committed cricketers to run cricket, not businessmen.

It may not be that easy
by M Alem on Jan 16, 2012 11:47 PM

If VVS, Dravid, Tendulkar and Sehwag are gone, India may still not find it easy to beat visitors in flat wicket we prepare.

Dhoni should resign captaincy right away. He can be included in the team based on his merit and performance.
I have a strange feeling that India will avoid white wash and win 4th test at Adelaide.

if you want to say that INDIA can beat australia only in INDIAN soil then why do INDIAN team go to australia to lose. let every cricket playing team come to INDIA. we will win each of the matches and create a record.
