After this dismal performnc , No statements, no concerns raised by the Board - amazing isnt it.
They are more concerned abt releasng IPL schedule and then of course going after a sports channel for whatever reason!!

First 0-4 in Eng., and no change even now - as SunnyG has rightly said - the Perth story is going to be no better.

India is paying for its policies, not grooming youngsters and over dependenc on big3- everyone's targetng Kohli - how many tests has he played, and he is written off???

Players take time to settle down, even the big3 had their moments in cricket bfore they settled down.

After this series we have the home series coming up, again the same set of cricketers will play n make merry - youngsters wil be ignored!

Dont mix up things!

Separate One day and T20 team from test team. There cannot be players playing in both the formats at the same time. It is apparent how the Indians got out in second innings when one big wicket fell. Two or three wickets fell successively due to rash shots. Also lapse in concentration after putting up a decent total is also due to the perils of one day cricket. Whats the need for laxman to score quickly on day 4? Tendulkar got out to a mediocre delivery mainly because of lack of concentration... In test cricket its the temperament - like sunny gavaskar possessed - thats crucial. Tendulkar is in that mould and so is Dravid, but mixing up one days and test cricket just kills their ability to focus... so much seems lacking when there a quality bowling attack has to be faced for a sustained period of time (i.e without any time limits..)

This has been an issue since the days of Srikkanth who scored quick runs in one dayers only to repeatedly fail in test matches... because test match requires greater skills and technique on a sustained basis.. which poor srikkanth did not have in good measure..

Now INdian team has so many srikkanth's in the form of sehwag, kohli, raina, gambhir, vvs, sachin etc... this translation of performance from one form to the other is the root cause of our batsmen failing repeatedly on quality tracks and quality bo
How the opponents do.. thats probably because they also have good bowling attack and another area which is lacking for India. Any ideas?

Thats not gonna happen soon!
We are in time warp - overdependenc on the big3,not grooming youngsters enug - has led to all this.

The next few series are all at home - watch the same set of criketers making merry again and the Eng/Aus drubbing wil be forgton

IF A TEAM CANNOT BAT FULL FIRST DAY OF A TEST MATCH AND THEN THE BOWLERS DO NOT BALL TO THEIR FIELD THIS IS OUGHT TO HAPPEN. FORGET THE PAST LAURELS OF SOME PLAYERS AND BUILD A TEAM FOR THE FUTURE. AUSTRALIA HAS FORGOTTEN HAYDEN & WARNE AND NOW BANKING ON PATTISON & WARNER

Systemic failure
by Face Dude on Jan 07, 2012 04:20 PM  | Hide replies

Part of the problem is due to the division we have in terms of language, culture and society between the different states... diversity is killing team sports. Any team thats doing well in team sports have a common language which is not English - an acquired skill. Where emotions complement skill, its necessary for the team to be aligned both mentally and technically. If each state claims their players to be supreme and shower unreasonable gifts and praises, quality and performance takes a serious hit. This is very apparent for any team sport like hockey or cricket or football.
My point is send a team from Maharastra or Hyderabad and they stand a better chance of performing well in international settings than a mixed up indian team where every person considers himself a king and different than others due to his regional specificities....

Guys, what's wrong with you all? This is the same team that we hailed as world's best just few months ago on winning world cup and a month ago winning against WI. Your team needs your support and not your criticism at this time when they are passing through challenging games in Aussie. Support them with your warm wishes instead of being cynics...media over do this anyway.

Shameless
by indira on Jan 07, 2012 03:10 PM  | Hide replies

Even as our team is being humiliated by the Aussies, the BCCI has shamlessly announced the schedule for the next IPL season. Shameless indeed! It shows that the board is interested only in making money and not bothered about the image of the team. This attitude has rubbed onto the players also. They are also playing like as if they are doing some routine work and are eagerly waiting for this tour to end so that they can go and play IPL as if nothing happened. Shameless board and hsameless team! This IPL shoul be banned. For this the fans should makt it a flop by boycotting it. If the stands are empty IPL will stop. I stopped watching IPL after the 1st season as I felt that most of the matches are fixed.

My friend for everyone else, it's just a game and people like us will become emotional and spend time on expressing our frustration...so take it as sports game and move on...at least don't blame the guys in blue who are hearing enough abuses from aussie crowd and media...

iniitdia crkt team was out foxed¡
by vikas k on Jan 07, 2012 03:01 PM

All the commentators on tv are missing this pt. Micheal clarke called up english bowling coach and he asked his bowlers to pitch it up to the batsman. Seam movement and bowled to perfect fielding positions. All our batsman weak pts were studied on videotape. The wall was breached, vvs not special anymore, sachin was fed the delivery knock out punch by clarke himself . Sachin has weakness playing left arm spinners. All this resulting in humiliating defeats . Our coaches ,batsman were out thought and weaknesses exploited fully. While their batsman could play ishant well they struggled against umesh yadav who was an unknown. We did adapt even on batting friendly pitch @SCG
