Mr. DHONI, know this.

There was a constant bombardment of criticism and condemnation specially on you and Sachin personally. Esp. on this site. We know who was behind this, especially it all started after Mumbai Terror Attack and IPL rejected PAKIS. The Paki.lovers of India have a great great great clout in India, as the rulers depend on them and media depends on the rulers.

You were condemned and rediculed ROUND THE CLOCK. When Sachin and Viru were playing a dream-game in WC ag. SouthAfrica a person stood up from among the spectators holding a banner for TV Cameras saying : SACHIN A GREAT WINNER OR AN ENTERTAINER :....their once a colleage Azhar right before the WC issued a statement that Sachin was not a good Captain ! ( why at the time of beginning of WC? ),,,these are all shameless and dirty efforts.

But you held your nervs and handled your team admirably well with all those senior and juniors, new andold players....and got us the WCup. We stll cherish those moments and thank you and your team.

We can understand the frustrations of "those" who hate you and Sachin and Viru or Dravid ...hell with them.

But you lost your game plan in England.

Get it back and good luck.

All peoples of the world are more or less the same thing, when you give them good thing they are happy, if yoou fail they rise to condemn you.

A player with very limited abilities like Dhoni is not even capable of an individual performance which requires skills such as technique, patience and perseverance; so as to bail out the team from a tricky situation. As a captain, Dhoni's success was based on the good form of a bunch of very talented and enormously experienced cricketers. Once we take them out of equation......as they say: "The King is Naked...!!!"

Dhoni test average outside
In WI 2006, 24
In SA 2006, 26
In AUS 2007, 17.62
In SLK 2009 17.5
In SA 2011, 35.8
In WI 2011- 19.5 (last series)
( score of 0,16,2, 5 & 74(only one good inning when WI was operating with bowlers like bishoo/chandrapaul & front line bowler rampaul/shammi etc was resting due to injury).
In Eng 2011- 29 (last series)

Also dhoni after playing 27 T-20 intl has not scored a single fifty, no match winning inning, no MOM & pathetic strike rate of 105 (one of the lowest for any batsman in T-20 at his batting position)
In ODI overseas also he is a big failure as batsman who never perform when require due to limited batting ability & has hardly won any important ODI outside india with his batting.
He is a flop wicketkeeper also in last 3 series where dropped many catches.

Dhoni is best
That’s why doing rest.
hehehe

Chennai Super Kinds out of CL T20
by girish bayes on Oct 05, 2011 03:12 PM  | Hide replies

No big deal. As it is, this format is crazy, its not cricket, its just plain entertainment. Hence, CSK bowing out of the Champions League T20 in the league phase - don't read too much into it or into MS Dhoni's skills as a captain.

In this format, any team could win it (if someone plays like Warner or Gayle - its anybody's game). Good, after a good rest Team India (atleast a few of them) would not grumble about the lack of rest !

Ah, they don't loose out on their earnings, do they ?

you questioned about earnings - do you think it's only the players' earnings getting affected or the Rajiv Shukla led governing body, the BCCI also gets affected simultaneously?

dhoni's comments
by Sunil Vaidya on Oct 05, 2011 03:06 PM  | Hide replies

i hear that dhoni said that the loss is a blessing in disguise because it gave time to prepare for upcoming odis...

now i wonder how people are going to twist that comment....

some people will as usual say he is making excuses while some people will see that he has left the CL 20 loss behind (like always he is as detached with the losses as detached he is with the wins) and as usual is walking ahead in the present looking forward to new challenges letting go of the past...

You're right and it should be the way to look at things but I am wondering why did the BCCI refused Dhoni's plea to take a break? After all, he has been playing continuously for a long time and has just been married too.

I think he deserves and should be actually forced to take a break for at least 20 days.

It is blessing in disguise for Dhoni and Raina. Give a thought about rest of team. What mistake they did that they had to play with Dhoni and Raina even if they were exhausted?Did they not deserved to win?Though I am fan of Dhoni I dont agree with his statement.

you may a fan of dhoni but obviously a confused fan...who does not understand what dhoni means...

and i doubt whether you yourself understand what you are saying...the only thing i will say that only those who play well deserve to win. obviously the other players did not play so well and deserved to lose...

You mean Dhoni and Raina were only the players who played well?It is not true.If you know what Dhoni means go and play in the team.Or be a press reporter. But these are false statements. It only shows that CSK is not looking for a victory.

i mean that even dhoni and raina were not their usual self and were equally to be blamed. sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. accept defeat with good grace just as you are happy when you win. even the best do not win always...no reason to get upset over small matters. they were twice winners of ipl and once in cl20. so if they lose to make it to the finals this time there is no need to make such a big cry over it...

I do not understand why you do freelancing for him.Be open to accept mistakes even if it is Dhoni.I am not bothered about winning or losing,i know the team's worth. But his statement is not correct.Blessing in disguise is for him and Raina.CSK does not comprise of only Dhoni & Raina.

i do not understand why YOU are doing the freelancing for other members of csk. if they were from indian team it is a blessing in disguise for them also. besides dhoni made the comment for himself not for csk members...also when did i not accept dhoni's mistakes?

dhoni is speaking for him personally not for csk. so why are you so upset?

again i ask you what is there left to say for the team? You are trying to raise an issue where none exists...

everybody knows that somtimes you win and sometimes you lose. you have to accept the losses as well as the wins. nobody has any complaints neither he himself, his opponents or his csk team mates...

you are making a mountain of a molehill.

dhoni is not complaining, his opposition teams are not complaining and his csk colleauges themselves have no issues with dhoni yet you are going on and on...

STILL you are upset. and over nothing at that...

Woa ... what are you guys moaning about
by Jacob Jose on Oct 05, 2011 03:06 PM  | Hide replies

This is just a worthless tropy to win, in as much as the IPL is. These games are for folks to make money and not for the real win.

But it's sad that folks are moaning about him when about four months back, it was all raves and flowers. How can you folks be so finicky.

He is the finest captain the world has ever produced and it will be a while before you get to see another one around. All the talk about luck is applicable to any grand master of a game and if you don't know how to take those opportunities and make the best of it, you fail. But then again, sheer grit is something you can't surmount by wishful thinking.

Get real!

T&R,

J

That is a tall statement that Dhoni is the best ever captain in the world and it is statements like these that spoil the players. Dhoni has been a good leader even by our standards and that is all.

For some, envy, green envy even douses the most wonderful of achievements in the word.

What I remember Dhoni is as a man who lead us to our first T-20 cup vicotory. Then I see him having lead us to victory over victory, both in India and outside of it to the point that we became No: 1 in test rankings - something that we lost in time. But hitting the No 1 is something that none of our captains done in the past.

As for the other achivements - the World Cup victory stands highest - it can't be taken a way from him and his contribution to the end along with Gambir Yuvraj was critical for the victory.

But most of what I like about him is he never gives up. He could have opted out injured in all those matches he could afford and have the blame put on one of his juniors. To be defeated in England with just three or four battle tested regulars is nothing shameful.

Some may rue the bets that has been made by them and having lost their pride or their money would naturally tend to blame him for the loss.

But, for him to be qualified against just the losses, it's a bit shameful and ungrateful.

In time, he will continue to have the support of the best players if he is allowed to choose the best players, no matter where they come in from. That's a predicament that can't be ignored. And more importantly, these folks need to be given the backing beyond a few failures - like in the case of Raina and Kohli. Had he not persisted with these two folks, they would not be wearing our cap.
